Days. Be it Grade School, High School or Home School.Wow. There is so much that I could share…
I have a lot of memories. Some Happy. Some Sad.
One memory that I will never forget is of my best friend in first grade. We were inseperable. We went everywhere together. We were together at school and on weekends over at each others house. We had so much fun. I still have a braclet that she gave me. I cant wear it anymore because it was a kids thing and is way to small but I still have it. Her name was Angie Fox. Angie is now dead. She died two days before my birthday in first grade. Her dad was driving drunk with her in the car. He hit a embankment and her head hit the side window and she was killed instantly. I remember how much I cried. It is something that forever changed my life. I will never forget her. I still think about her often. Wonder if she hadn’t died what she would be doing now. I should go visit her grave again sometime.
Here is a picture of me back in first grade

I met my best friend in first grade. . .
well at the time had a different one as my best friend (I’ve never been one to say, oh these 5 people are my best friends. . .I think just one person is your best friend, just as one person is your husband or wife)
Sorry she died.
Right before your birthday too. . .can’t have been easy on you. . .
This is an awesome post … you are linked

WOW… my daughter lost her best friend the day before her 11th birthday – actually got he news early early the morning of her 11th.
Life sucks sometimes
How horribly sad.
Cute picture of you!
I will do my post over the weekend.
I am so sorry to hear about Angie, man, that must have affected you terribly! How sad her dad was drunk. How were the rest of your years?
That’s sad.
I still know some of the people I went to school with in first grade. Those are molding years. Sorry that your friend died. It seems so senseless….
(((((((((hugs))))))))))
What a senseless loss of life. I am sure that her father still struggles with his role in her death. Such tragedy… so many lives impacted. Thank you for sharing.
Wow. How tragic. What a BEAUTIFUL girl. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Oh wow, that is so incredibly sad. I’m so sorry. Thank you for sharing.
You were very cute and far too young ot have to deal with that kind of trauma! But it seems you did well.
How truly sad for you and your poor little friend! I am in tears now. You just dont get to hear enough of those stories….it is so sad that there are drunk drivers even now…and things like that are STILL happening!!! Thank you so much for sharing this!
Your friend is still alive and treasured in your mind!
Remembering my school days makes me cringe, but I submitted an entry anyway!
That must be a horrible memory as you still remember it so vividly. I can’t say that I remember much about Elementary school.
Lovely post, and I like the photo.
Hugs, Tricia
I am sorry that you lost your best freind…have a good day…Smile
Great pic!!!
Wow — a powerful memory for such a young age.
What a traumatic memory! So much grief at such a young age. Did that make it harder to make other friends?
What a sad memory to have.
Wow. What a memory to have at such a young age.
