  • New Years Eve

My three children were told this morning that they can try to stay up until midnight tonight if they want to. They are excited about it. I think they will be asleep by 10pm :) I doubt they will be able to stay awake that long. If they can I will let them watch the ball drop.

  • Snowman

My five year old son, over Christmas break had homework. The homework was
to make and decorate a snowman. Well, his is more of a snowhamster
I had to share this with you

  • Sand Bath

Hamsters love Chinchilla sand baths (sand not dust. Dust is bad for
their lungs). It helps them keep clean. Autumn and Alvin both love
    their sand baths.

This evening I took pictures of Autumn in her bath.

  • Yummy

Homemade food that my whole family loves

What I did with left over turkey. This can be done with lots of different meats.

I took a cake pan and put fries on the bottom. (Probably a pound. Small
bag) (hash browns or diced or shredded potato could be used too)
After that I put the turkey. (as much meat as you want)
Then on top of that I put homemade bread filling (Ripped up bread mixed with eggs and milk you want the bread to me really moist.)
You want enough bread filling that it is at least 1/4 inch thick over all of it.

    Cover with foil
Cook at 350 for 45 minutes
Uncover it for the last 10-15 minutes so the top of the filling browns a bit.

It is really good and you can use any meat too it doesn’t have to be turkey.  You can also add cheese after the meat and before the filling if you want cheese on it. It is good that way too.

  • Alvin and Autumn’s homes

I thought I would share with you where Alvin and Autumn live.

    First here is Autumn’s house
    Photobucket

As you can see, it is three houses in one plus a sky tower connected by a bunch of tubes.

House number one. This house has her food and water, salt lick and wheel.
    Photobucket

House number two. This house has her lamp, tv and bed.
    Photobucket

House number three. This house has a sand bath that she loves and another water bottle.
    Photobucket

    Now on to Alvin’s home.
    Photobucket

As you can see, Alvin’s home is also three homes in one plus a cool tube loop.

House number one. This house has a wheel, salt lick, food and water. And you can see the loop off the side.
    Photobucket

House number two. This house has a sand bath, extreme wheel ball and a sky tower.
    Photobucket

House number three. This house has a lamp, bed, tv and dresser which stores treats.

  • Benazir Bhutto has died following a suicide bombing

Bhutto’s husband told Pakistani television that Bhutto was shot in the
neck during the attack and was undergoing emergency surgery. At
least 20 people are feared dead, police and witnesses said. An aide to
Bhutto initially said that the former prime minister was not was not
    harmed in the blast.
“She has been martyred,” said party offical Rehman Malik.

Two shots were fired before the explosion, one of which struck Bhutto
in the neck. This was a very precise attack.   Likely culprits?
    Jihadists.

In October, after Bhutto’s return to Pakistan from exile, a suicide
attack on Bhutto’s motorcade killed more than 140 supporters.

With elections only days away, what effect this will have on the future of Pakistan remains to be seen. I expect riots, possibly directed at perceived extremists

While President Pervez Musharraf has promised free and fair
parliamentary elections next month, continued instability in the tribal
areas and the threat of attack on large crowds has kept people from
attending political rallies and dampened the country’s political
    process.

Campaigners from various political groups say fewer people are
coming out to show their support due to government crackdowns and the
threat of violence. At least 136 people were killed and more than 387
wounded on October 18 when a suicide bomber attacked Bhutto’s
slow-moving motorcade. The former PM returned to the country after
eight years of self-imposed exile to a massive show of support in the
southern port city of Karachi. Bhutto called it “an attack on
democracy” and vowed it would not deter her political campaign.

    Today’s
violence come less than two weeks ahead of January parliamentary
elections and as many days after President Pervez Musharraf lifted a
six-week-old state of emergency he said was necessary to ensure the
country’s stability. Critics said Musharraf’s political maneuvering was
meant to stifle the country’s judiciary as well as curb the media and
opposition groups to secure more power

  • Autumn discovers her wheel

Autumn just discovered her wheel this morning. When we got the cage from Barry’s sister (we bought it from her) she had it put together all wrong. Some of the mistakes can not be fixed. So we paid more then what it was worth for a broken cage. But some of the issues we were able to fix and we are getting Autumn a second cage to be attached by a tube on Saturday. We fixed the wheel. His sister had the wheel hooked on to the cage wrong and put together wrong. It wouldn’t turn. (The cage looks like someone didn’t read instructions putting it together). Well we fixed what we could. Now the wheel turns nice and Autumn is enjoying it. Autumn is so friendly and loves when I pet and hold her.
  • Alvin in his ball

Alvin was in his ball for the first time tonight. We also were holding him and playing with him. He loves his ball. He was running around exploring. Alvin has a lot of energy.
  • New additions to our family

Well for Christmas my husband’s sister got my children two new additions to our family. Hamsters!!!!!!!!!

Here are some pictures of the delightful additions

    This is Autumn
    Photobucket

This delightful addition is a older hamster who had a littler of pups recently so she is relatively calm and somewhat quiet

    and

    this is Alvin

This addition is very wild and energetic of the two.
A Party Animal if you will
    PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

    Our
first night with Alvin was so Wild that we had to move his cage from
our room to another room so his Par-Tay would not disturb our much
needed sleep. His favorite party games seemed to be lets see how fast
we can get the wheel to go so half the night we heard Thump a Thump a
Thump a Thump till we moved him.

But we take it all in stride and he can have his party anytime now that I cant hear it in my dreams

Here are some more pictures of the duo
