PRAY
My cousin who is 17 years old was helping a friend of the family with some logging in the Chambersburg area. There was an accident and Jay was hurt. He was taken to the Chambersburg hospital where they stabilized him and then transferred him to the Hershey medical center trauma unit. I do not have many details of the accident or the extent of his injuries. Reports are that his broken ribs punctured his lung so he is on oxygen. Numerous vertebrae in his back are crushed but at this time it appears there is no major organ damage or massive internal bleeding. Please keep my cousin Jay in your prayers. And also His Parents the whole Shank Family. Thank you
Update his sister gave me:
he is doing very well. the cat scan showed that there are no other internal injuries and they will not need to do surgery. they took him off oxygen but he still has to use a machine to breathe until his lung heals. his ribs, hip and vertebrae will heal with time so they are hoping to release him tomorrow. we praise God that he is doing so well!! keep praying for total recovery.update 12/8:
Yesterday he went home with crutches. It is a miracle how fast he is healing. It is a miracle he is alive let alone home from the hospital. God is so good and so wonderful.
Praise the Lord
