    Local College Activates Alert System

    Students at Millersville
University are being urged to stay in classrooms and dorm rooms as
police look for a person on campus who is deemed to be a threat. The
college activated its MU alert system to let students and faculty know
about the situation. The school tells News 8 that the entire incident
stems from the report of one student about another student. An official
said the student reported being concerned about this other student and
feeling threatened by that person.Police are now looking for
that individual. College officials did not offer any more details
concerning why they deemed that individual to be a threat.

Students who are not yet on campus are asked to stay home until the college gives an all-clear through its alert system. The
first alert, which was sent around 11:04 a.m. stated, “MU Emergency!
Stay off-campus. If on campus, lock yourself in a room and await
instructions. Info at MU web site to follow.”Around 11:20 a.m.,
the college sent this follow-up alert, “Student on campus is potential
threat to community. Stay where you are. Do not go outside!”The
college’s Web site has a simple message posted at the top of its
homepage, but the site is not loading consistently, perhaps due to
    heavy traffic.

News 8 asked if officials were considering whether this might be an
April Fools’ prank. Officials responded that they are taking this
    seriously.

Some time after noon, police found the 24 year old student, Joel Yodis,
