  • How does a sinner get peace with God?

    Rom 5:1  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
    Rom 5:2  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
    Rom 5:3  And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
    Rom 5:4  And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
    Rom 5:5  And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
    Rom 5:6  For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
    Rom 5:7  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
    Rom 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
    Rom 5:9  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
    Rom 5:10  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
    Rom 5:11  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

    How does a sinner get peace with God? All have sinned. There is none righteous.

    Rom 3:11  There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

    God created a perfect world. The world was perfect until sin entered. How can man get right with God? Man is sinning. God is holy. God sought for us. We sinned against a holy God but while we were still sinners He sent His son.

    Rom 5:6  For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

    Christ died for the ungodly.

    Rom 5:7  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
    Rom 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

    You have a record with God. You may not have a police record (maybe you do) but you have a record with God. He has seen all you have done. While we were yet sin stained Christ died for us. God showed us He loved us. God so loved that sin stained world that He sent His son to die.

    Rom 5:9  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

    Now that we are saved, We are saved from wrath through Jesus. We deserve the wrath. We all offended God by sinning. Unless we ask God to forgive us through Jesus we will endure the wrath of God. We are safe from the wrath is we accept Jesus Christ.

    Rom 5:10  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

    We were enemies of God. We were on opposite sides of the battle. God loved us when we were His enemy. Jesus died so that we can live. We have been reconciled with God through Jesus. We are now part of the family of God.  We don’t deserve this. It wasn’t anything we did. It is what HE did.
    It is accepting Jesus died on the cross for your sins. Repentance has to happen for reconciliation. God gave His son’s life for us. He loves us. He was willing to give His son so you a sinner could have peace with Him.

    Rom 5:1  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

    All like sheep have gone astray.

    Eph 2:11  Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
    Eph 2:12  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

    He is saying remember when you were gentile and didnt have a relationship with God. You were without hope.

    Eph 2:13  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
    Eph 2:14  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
    Eph 2:15  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
    Eph 2:16  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

    You are now close. Reconciling both the Jew and Gentile to Him.

    Eph 2:17  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
    Eph 2:18  For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

    We both (Jew and Gentile) now have access to God. The day you got saved you were made right with God.

    Rom 5:2  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

    We have access to God. Can go right to the throne. Anytime you might need it – You can pray. It is a privilege of being God’s child. You got that access. How often do you use it?
    Are you lonely? Talk to God!
    Are you hurting? Talk to God!
    Are you sad? Talk to God!
    You have access to Him anytime. Anytime! Immediate Access!
    How often do you talk to Him?

    I’m so glad I’m a part of the Family of God,
    I’ve been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His Blood!
    Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
    For I’m part of the family,
    The Family of God

    You will notice we say “brother and sister” ’round here,
    It’s because we’re a family and these are so near;
    When one has a heartache, we all share the tears,
    And rejoice in each victory in this family so dear.

    I’m so glad I’m a part of the Family of God,
    I’ve been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His Blood!
    Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
    For I’m part of the family,
    The Family of God

    From the door of an orphanage to the house of the King,
    No longer an outcast, a new song I sing;
    From rags unto riches, from the weak to the strong,
    I’m not worthy to be here, but PRAISE GOD! I belong!

    I’m so glad I’m a part of the Family of God,
    I’ve been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His Blood!
    Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
    For I’m part of the family,
    The Family of God
