  • Revelation 6:12-17

Revelation 6:12-17 KJV  And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;  (13)  And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.  (14)  And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.  (15)  And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;  (16)  And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:  (17)  For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

    Sixth seal

Sun became black as sackcloth – that is a sign of mourning.

Moon became black as blood – something that resembles blood.

    Stars fell to earth.

Could you imagine if a star fell in New York or LA.

The heaven departed as a scroll – guess they wont have to worry about the hole in the ozone.

    Mountains and islands moved.

    People hide in caves.

Isaiah 34:1-10 KJV  Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it.  (2)  For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.  (3)  Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.  (4)  And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.  (5)  For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.  (6)  The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.  (7)  And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.  (8)  For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.  (9)  And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.  (10)  It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

They don’t cry out to God. No they try to hide.

God has a way out of condemnation, the only question is whether or not you’ll take it.

John 3:14-21 KJV  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:  (15)  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.  (16)  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  (17)  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  (18)  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  (19)  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  (20)  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  (21)  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 3:34-36 KJV  For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.  (35)  The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.  (36)  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Your choice. People do have a choice, they don’t need to go to Hell, but if you want to, God will not get in your way. He has done everything possible to keep you out of Hell, but if you reject Him, it is your choice!

Can you take your cart to heaven? No. Can you take your house? No. Can you take your children. yeah. Teach them the way of the Lord. Can you take your neighbors? yeah. Co-workers? Yeah.

How should that change your priorities? And the way you love?

Are you ready to tell your neighbors and co-workers what is coming? Do you care about their soul?

  • I find verse 14 very interesting.  Scriptures says that God stretched out the heavens.  So in the Creation He stretched them out and at the end they will be rolled back up.   That is so cool to me!
