  • God is stretching me

God is really stretching me. The Lord knows that I am not the type of person to ask for people to help me. I am not the type of person to even like to accept gifts from someone.

When my husband asks me for my birthday what I would like for my birthday I always say something that can be used around the house like  cleaning supplies.

I am even worse at accepting stuff from other people.

I remember when my husband's job (the one before this one...a little over 3 years ago) closed the plant. It went 3 weeks before he found this job. People at church found out and someone brought us a batch of groceries. That was so hard for me to take.

Someone told me recently that I need to learn to allow people to be blessed by blessing me. This is a hard concept for me. I understand it but it is hard for me. I love going and cleaning someones house for them or weeding their flowerbed, but to allow someone to do something for me is hard.

God is pushing me. God told someone to do something for us. I can't say no. To say no would be to argue with God, if God told the person to do that.To tell someone that can't do something God told them to do is not a good thing to do.

God is really pushing me. He is stretching me. The me part wants to say no. I want to say Lord this is too much.

I guess I am to learn that like me giving of my time and efforts to help people it is ok for people to help us too. Not sure why that is so hard for me to do.

The Lord is really stretching me tonight.

  • Need advice

Need advice. I am thinking of getting this (don't have the money right now) and want to know if anyone else has used it and if it works well etc. So please give me your opinions. I want everyone's opinions but especially those of the Deaf and hard of hearing community. Please tell me your thoughts.

    CapTel

Captioned Telephone (or CapTel for short) is a new telephone technology that allows people to receive word-for-word captions of their telephone conversations. It is similar in concept to Captioned Television, where spoken words appear as written text for viewers to read. The CapTel phone looks and works like any traditional phone, with callers talking and listening to each other, but with one very significant difference: Captions are provided live for every phone call. The captions are displayed on the phone's built-in screen so the user can read the words while listening to the voice of the other party. If the CapTel phone user has difficulty hearing what the caller says, he can read the captions for clarification.

The user dials the number of the person they wish to call on the CapTel phone. The call is transparently connected to a service that provides the captioning. At the CapTelSM service center, a specially trained operator uses the latest in voice-recognition technology to transcribe whatever is said by the other party. The voice recognition system transcribes the operator's voice into text captions, which are bundled with the speaking party's actual voice and sent down the telephone line to the CapTel phone. When the CapTel phone receives this combined information, the voice and text are split so that the voice goes to the earpiece of the phone and the captions go to the display screen

To get captions on your incoming calls, your caller must first dial the toll free number for the Captioning Service and then enter your phone number. You will get captions during any call that is placed through the captioning service. If your caller dials you directly, the call will not be captioned. "Call Me" cards that list the toll free captioning service number are included with the CapTel phone. You can give the "Call Me" cards to people who call frequently.

The phones, made by Ultratec Inc., cost $495 retail but right now seem to be discounted due to it being new tecnology.

    CapTel Telephone
A specialized telephone designed specifically to interact with the CapTel Captioning Service in order to display captions. The telephone does not, all by itself, translate spoken words into written captions. It can also be used as a traditional amplified telephone, without the captions feature.

    CapTel Captioning Service
The CapTel Captioning Service transcribes the caller's spoken words into written captions, which appear on the CapTel phone display. The cost of the captioning service is covered by Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) funds as part of Title IV of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
    Telephone Line Requirements

    Standard Analog Telephone Line (required)
CapTel requires connection to a standard analog telephone line (or analog port), such as is commonly found in households. You cannot connect CapTel to a digital telephone line (as is sometimes found in offices) or to any other non-analog telephone line. Users in an office environment should check with their telephone administrator to make sure an analog port is available.

What are your thoughts on CapTel? Has anyone used it yet? Does it work good?

  • Revelation 10

Revelation 10:1-11 KJV  And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:  (2)  And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,  (3)  And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.  (4)  And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.  (5)  And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,  (6)  And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:  (7)  But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.  (8)  And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.  (9)  And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.  (10)  And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.  (11)  And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

little book - bibliaridion - a little book, a "smaller" (diminutive) form of biblion, which already is a "small book". This is a "really small" book.

It's possible that this is the same book that we saw in chapter 5, only it's now opened -

Rev 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

But it's not quite the same Greek word, it is a "smaller" book.

    What's this book?

I think it is a book that contains the remaining events in Revelation, or at least the things in 11:1-15.

John is going to be told to eat the book, and after that he will be told to prophesy about coming events.

I think the concept is that after John eats the book, he is then enabled to prophesy, because he has the book inside him.

Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

This same type of thing happened to Ezekiel:

Ezekiel 2:8 - 3:3 KJV But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee. {9} And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; {10} And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe. 3:1 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. {2} So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll. {3} And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

There are several places in Scripture where it seems that when God speaks, people hear thunder.

2Sa 22:14 The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.

Job 40:9 Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

When God spoke to Jesus once, it sounded like thunder to those nearby:

John 12:29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.

Perhaps the idea here isn't that there are seven "thunder creatures" that are speaking, but the idea that God speaks with seven thunders, and each thunder has some kind of meaning or message.

Some have suggested a connection to -

Psalm 29 A Psalm of David. Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. {2} Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. {3} The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. {4} The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. {5} The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. {6} He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. {7} The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. {8} The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. {9} The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory. {10} The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever. {11} The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

There are SEVEN times that the "voice of the LORD" is mentioned.

The "voice of the LORD" is often associated with thunder.

Could this be related to Revelation 10?

The seventh angel hasn't yet blown the seventh trumpet. That's not going to occur until Rev 11:15. This sounding of the seventh trumpet is going to wrap up everything.

Revelation 10:8-11 KJV  And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.

We can get all caught up in the wonderful fact that we're going to see Jesus face to face! We can get all caught up in the glory of getting new bodies, ruling with Jesus, and living in heaven. But we should also balance that with the bitterness that comes from knowing that the unbelieving world is going to be judged. Even as we are spending eternity in God's presence, in bodies designed to be able to withstand the joys of heaven, those who reject Christ will spend eternity in bodies designed to endure the pain and judgment of hell. It's sweet, but it's also bitter.

God's Word is sweet, it is refreshing, it is nourishing to our spiritual lives. But, if you refuse to keep God's Word, then there is judgment that will come. You see, as you begin to digest the things of God you also see the consequences of disobedience. There is the message of judgment that is coming upon those who have rejected Jesus Christ. It is bitter when you realize what is going to happen to the lost. Judgment is coming and your heart should burn for the unsaved. It should be a wake-up call to the reality of what we should do - share the Gospel!  Point people to Jesus!

Our responsibility is to tell others of Christ. Then it is up to them to either reject or accept the Gospel message. But judgment is coming on those who refuse to accept. You see, God's Word contains sweet promises and assurances, but it also contains bitter warnings and prophecies of judgment!

There is another point I would like to make here and that is this. It is your responsibility to take in God's Word.  God will never force you, God will not thrust it down your throat, God will not force-feed you. God hands His Word to us and we must take it into our lives, we must have that desire to know God through His Word.

When people want to hear God's Word, share it with them. When people don't want to hear God's Word, share it with them.  Yes, they may not want to hear it, but they need to hear it. Don't be obnoxious about it, but share it in love.

  • Could use the prayers of my friends

Please pray. Barry (my husband) was informed today that starting next week until further
notice...They will only be working 32 hours a week.
That is about $1,000 a month take home pay total for a family of
    five.
Please keep us in your prayers.

I am on the verge of an anxiety attack so any prayers would be a big blessing.

    Thank you for the prayers.

  • Revelation 10:1

Revelation 10:1  And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed
with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it
were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire

I saw still another mighty angel: Revelation 9 left off with the sounding of the sixth of seven trumpets, which usher in the end of all things.  Now, instead of the seventh trumpet, we have another interlude until Revelation 11:15

All leading up to the 7th Trumpet and return of Christ. Where He will rule. He will make everything right.

Strong Angel- Divine messenger. Angel came down from heaven. This angel shows a picture of what Jesus will do. Angel is giving us a preview.

    clothed with a cloud

In the wilderness, it appears as if God Himself was in the "pillar of cloud":

Ex 13:21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

Nu 12:5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood [in] the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.

De 31:15 And the LORD appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.

When Jesus comes, it will be with clouds:

Rev 1:7  Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

People who survive the tribulation (there will be people who survive) will see Christ coming.

Rev 14:14  And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
Rev 14:15  And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
Rev 14:16  And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

Angel is reminding its not far away. Giving a preview of what is to come.

Act 1:9  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
    Act 1:10  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Act 1:11  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Mat 24:27  For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:28  For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Mat 24:29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Rev 10:1  And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

Rainbow on his head. I think right away of
Gen 9:11  And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
Gen 9:12  And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
Gen 9:13  I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
Gen 9:14  And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
Gen 9:15  And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
Gen 9:16  And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
Gen 9:17  And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

Never destroy the earth again by water. every time we see a rainbow we remember God's faithfulness to His promise. God is faithful.

Luke 1:31  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
Luke 1:32  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
Luke 1:33  And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

    Jesus will rule

Jer 23:5  Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

Zec 14:9  And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Rev 10:1  And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

Face as the Sun. Feet as Pillars of fire

    1Ti 6:15  Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

Rev 1:16  And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

Mal 4:2  But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

No one will miss Christ's coming. All shall see.

Feet as pillars of fire. Fire speaks of Judgment.

Deu 9:3  Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.

Heb 12:29  For our God is a consuming fire.

Rev 20:10  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Rev 20:15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

    Fire speaks of judgment.
2Th 1:7  And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
2Th 1:8  In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

People want to talk about the love of God, but there is another side too. God is a God of Judgment.

    Well...on to verse 2 tomorrow.

May God bless you and guide you.

  • If I were elected President of the United States I would:

The question at Featured_Grownups this time is

If I were elected President of the United States I would:

(Disclaimer....I know that there are many many important issues that many people will talk about on this topic. This post by me is not to say that this is more important then all those topics, after all I will never run for president lol)

If I were elected President I would work on making all things available for the Deaf community. I would work on getting everything Closed Captioned. I would make sign language an available class for all high schoolers to take.

Closed captioning provides a critical link to news, entertainment, and information for individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. For individuals whose native language is not English, English language captions improve comprehension and fluency. Captions also help improve literacy skills. You can turn on closed captions through your remote control or on-screen menu. The FCC does not regulate captioning of home videos, DVDs, or video games.

If I was president I would ensure that all TV programs, DVDs and video games came with high quality CCs.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Center for Health Statistics approximates that 34 million Americans have a significant hearing loss; of these almost six million are profoundly deaf.

Deaf people have safer driving records than hearing people nationally.

70% of deaf people believe they have failed to get a job because of their deafness

64% have experienced communication difficulties at work and over 50% are unable to communicate with their hearing colleagues

60% were looking for another job because of their treatment at work

    Step
    1
    Turn on captions for
one week – just seven days – and leave them
    on.

    Step 2
Come back here at the end of the week and
let me know how it went – positive or not.

    Take the challenge

So that is what I would do as President :) My little pet project.

  • Revelation 9:13-21

Revelation 9:13-21 KJV  And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,  (14)  Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.  (15)  And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.  (16)  And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.  (17)  And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.  (18)  By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.  (19)  For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.  (20)  And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:  (21)  Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

I'm not sure I understand just how all this works in Revelation, but it's interesting to see how much of it is connected to the place of prayer. We tend to get into trouble when we begin to neglect prayer. Even at the end of His life, when things were getting very tough, Jesus pushed to spend MORE time in prayer, not less.

When He found His disciples sleeping during His prayer time -

Matthew 26:40-41 KJV And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? {41} Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

There's awesome power in prayer. We may not understand how it is all working, but we need to stay with it.

Notice that these angels were prepared for a specific time period.

As this sixth trumpet judgment sounds we see 1/3 of mankind destroyed in this judgment.  By this period of time over 1/2 of the earth's population will be destroyed, over 3 billion people!  In the previous trumpet judgment we saw demonic forces at work and now here, are these similar or are these speaking of an actual army.

This is a real army; over 200 million soldiers and we are to take it literally. Right now there is only one nation that can boast of having a militia of two hundred million. That is China.

In Revelation 16:12-16 we are told, "Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 'Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.' And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon."

You see, the Euphrates River runs for some 1700 miles and is anywhere from 3 to 12 miles wide with the average depth being about 30 feet.  So you can see that this river is a natural barrier between the eastern and western empires. Imagine what it would take to have 200 million soldiers cross this river by boat. It would be very foolish.

But God said that He will dry up the waters of the Euphrates River, in which there is now a great dam in Turkey which crosses the Euphrates River and has the ability to dry it up.  These things are in place to stop this river at will, God's will.  But for what purpose will it be stopped?  We are told in verse 16 of Revelation chapter 16, "And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon."

If you took 200 million soldiers, marching them shoulder-to-shoulder, you would have a massive troop movement, to say the least. It would be 1 mile wide and some 87 miles long.  Now in the book of Daniel we are told that the Antichrist moves to take control of the world, not through peace any longer, but through war and power.  And as he is down in North Africa, he gets word of a massive troop movement against him, and he turns back northward to deal with this insurrection. Daniel 11:44 says "But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many."

As this massive army moves further westward, some of the troops will move in from the north, the other half from the east, to meet the Antichrist and his forces in the valley of Megiddo.  This is the final conflict before Christ returns to set-up His kingdom on this earth.

Revelation 9:20-21 KJV  And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:  (21)  Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

Repentance won't come easy in the Tribulation.

You know how hard it is to repent on this side of the Tribulation. Repentance means to change your mind about something and change your actions accordingly. Some people expect to wait until the Tribulation before they'll repent. The Bible seems to indicate that they won't be able to do it.

2 Thessalonians 2:7-12 KJV  (7)  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.  (8)  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:  (9)  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,  (10)  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  (11)  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  (12)  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Here in verse 20 we see that they made idols from the works of their hands and they worshiped these idols.  And they refused to repent of this sin and let go of them.  It is amazing what people do worship and the Psalmist puts this into perspective for us in Psalm 115:4-8 as he tells us, "Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they do not speak; Eyes they have, but they do not see; They have ears, but they do not hear; Noses they have, but they do not smell; They have hands, but they do not handle; Feet they have, but they do not walk; Nor do they mutter through their throat. Those who make them are like them; So is everyone who trusts in them."  We do become like the gods we worship, whatever they may be!

Then, in verse 21 we see murders, mind-altering drugs, fornication, and stealing listed.  What happened here?  Think of it like this. If your relationship with God is off then your relationship with your fellow man will be off also, it will be askew!  It is as Paul said in Galatians 5:19-21, "Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."  It is not a pretty picture when man is in rebellion against God!

Those who have survived these judgments so far refused to repent of their evil deeds. One person said this in regards to their actions, "One of the clearest proofs of the depravity of man is his implacable [hardheartedness] hatred of the only solution to his greatest problem." The gift is there for them to receive, it is free and yet they reject it. It is as Paul said in Romans 1:18-25, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man — and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen." That is what sin does, it blinds people and keeps them in that fallen condition, in rebellion against God!

I don't want to close on that note, it is a downer you might say.  Let me leave you with this to think about. Jesus Christ is the only solution to man's problems and if people reject Him, they will face His judgment. But that is not the heart of God for Jesus said, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."  Matthew 11:28-30.  That is the heart of God, may we never forget that. God does not want any to perish but you have a choice to make and He will not force you to come to Him, but He truly loves you so much that He died for you so you can enter into that relationship with Him. Won't you come!
