  • Psalm 13

Psalms 13:1-6 KJV  <To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.> How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?  (2)  How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?  (3)  Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;  (4)  Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.  (5)  But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.  (6)  I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

David is crying out to G-d to hear and answer his prayer, but G-d seems to be silent in this trial that he is going through. We all have had times in our Christian walk where G-d was silent as we cried out to Him. And as we go through those times we may develop some misconceptions regarding G-d. We may see Him as being unfair, that He doesn’t care, that He doesn’t answer prayer. That is wrong. When you go through times like this, fall back on what you know of G-d, that He loves you and will not forsake you. We must focus back on Him and His faithfulness.

  • Absolutely, He is there whether we see him, hear him, or feel him.  He is there.
