  • Update on school situation

    Talked to the administrator and she said she would look at his file and talk to the teacher and call me back next week. He already has a tutor and has improved in reading this year. But she will talk to the teacher and we will then talk about if there is anything else that can be done to help him.

    Then when the children came home they had a note which was informing parents that as of the 20th (That is this coming week) _________(the administrator I had just talked to earlier) will no longer be administrator and gave the name of the person who would be substituting until a permanent administrator is found.

    So it sounds like she was just placating me.

    We shall see.

    (I am keeping record of all conversations and emails.)

  • Psalm 11

    Psalms 11:1-7 KJV  <To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.> In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?  (2)  For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.  (3)  If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?  (4)  The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.  (5)  The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.  (6)  Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.  (7)  For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

    How important it is to have the proper focus, putting your trust in the L-rd who is in control. It is out of that you can rest. The only thing to do is trust in the L-rd, for that is where true peace is found.

    At one point David fled to the priestly city of Nob and received some help from the priests, who gave him some bread and a sword.  They hadn’t realized that David was running from Saul so they gladly helped what they assumed was a faithful servant of the king.  When Saul found out that the priests had helped David, he felt as if they were all plotting against him.  Saul had the priests killed.  All of them.  The entire city.
    The foundations were being destroyed.

    Examples of foundations being destroyed: Prayer in schools.  Abortion.  The so-called “separation of church and state”.  The removal of any mention of G-d in government.

    Here is what you need to do – look up! G-d is in control. He sees right into the heart of man. What you do is important to Him.  He sees you.

    Judgment will come upon the wicked. G-d will judge the wicked. He sees everything that goes on.  Nothing escapes His attention.

    G-d will lift up the righteous and judge the unrighteous.

  • learning disabilities

    Children with learning disabilities exhibit a wide range of symptoms. These include problems with reading, mathematics, comprehension, writing, spoken language, or reasoning abilities. Hyperactivity, inattention and perceptual coordination may also be associated with learning disabilities but are not learning disabilities themselves. The primary characteristic of a learning disability is a significant difference between a child’s achievement in some areas and his or her overall intelligence. Learning disabilities typically affect five general areas:

       1. Spoken language: delays, disorders, and deviations in listening and speaking.
       2. Written language: difficulties with reading, writing and spelling.
       3. Arithmetic: difficulty in performing arithmetic operations or in understanding basic concepts.
       4. Reasoning: difficulty in organizing and integrating thoughts.
       5. Memory: difficulty in remembering information and instructions.

    Among the symptoms commonly related to learning disabilities are:

        * poor performance on group tests
        * difficulty discriminating size, shape, color
        * difficulty with temporal (time) concepts
        * distorted concept of body image
        * reversals in writing and reading
        * general awkwardness
        * poor visual-motor coordination
        * hyperactivity
        * difficulty copying accurately from a model
        * slowness in completing work
        * poor organizational skills
        * easily confused by instructions
        * difficulty with abstract reasoning and/or problem solving
        * disorganized thinking
        * often obsesses on one topic or idea
        * poor short-term or long-term memory
        * impulsive behavior; lack of reflective thought prior to action
        * low tolerance for frustration
        * excessive movement during sleep
        * poor peer relationships
        * overly excitable during group play
        * poor social judgment
        * inappropriate, unselective, and often excessive display of affection
        * lags in developmental milestones (e.g. motor, language)
        * behavior often inappropriate for situation
        * failure to see consequences for his actions
        * overly gullible; easily led by peers
        * excessive variation in mood and responsiveness
        * poor adjustment to environmental changes
        * overly distractible; difficulty concentrating
        * difficulty making decisions
        * lack of hand preference or mixed dominance
        * difficulty with tasks requiring sequencing

    When considering these symptoms, it is important to remain mindful of the following:

       1. No one will have all these symptoms.
       2. Among LD populations, some symptoms are more common than others.
       3. All people have at least two or three of these problems to some degree.

    Federal law requires that public school districts provide special education and related services to children who need them. If these tests indicate that the child requires special educational services, the school evaluation team (planning and placement team) will meet to develop an individual educational plan (IEP) geared to the child’s needs. The IEP describes in detail an educational plan designed to remediate and compensate for the child’s difficulties.

    Pointers for parents of children with learning disabilities.

       1. Take the time to listen to your children as much as you can (really try to get their “Message”).
       2. Love them by touching them, hugging them, tickling them, wrestling with them (they need lots of physical contact).
       3. Look for and encourage their strengths, interests, and abilities. Help them to use these as compensations for any limitations or disabilities.
       4. Reward them with praise, good words, smiles, and pat on the back as often as you can.
       5. Accept them for what they are and for their human potential for growth and development. Be realistic in your expectations and demands.
       6. Involve them in establishing rules and regulations, schedules, and family activities.
       7. Tell them when they misbehave and explain how you feel about their behavior; then have them propose other more acceptable ways of behaving.
       8. Help them to correct their errors and mistakes by showing or demonstrating what they should do.
       9. Give them reasonable chores and a regular family work responsibility whenever possible.
      10. Provide toys, games, motor activities and opportunities that will stimulate them in their development.
      11. Read enjoyable stories to them and with them. Encourage them to ask questions, discuss stories, tell the story, and to reread stories.
      12. Further their ability to concentrate by reducing distracting aspects of their environment as much as possible (provide them with a place to work, study and play).
      13. Take them to libraries and encourage them to select and check out books of interest. Have them share their books with you. Provide stimulating books and reading material around the house.
      14. Help them to develop self-esteem and to compete with self rather than with others.
      15. Serve as a model to them by reading and discussing material of personal interest. Share with them some of the things you are reading and doing.
      16. Don’t hesitate to consult with teachers or other specialists whenever you feel it to be necessary in order to better understand what might be done to help your child learn.

    Hope this can be of a bit of help to someone

  • Psalm 10

    Psalms 10:1-18 KJV  Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?  (2)  The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.  (3)  For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.  (4)  The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.  (5)  His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.  (6)  He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.  (7)  His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.  (8)  He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.  (9)  He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.  (10)  He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.  (11)  He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.  (12)  Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.  (13)  Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.  (14)  Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.  (15)  Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.  (16)  The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.  (17)  LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:  (18)  To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

    This Psalm is a petition to G-d to pour out His judgment upon the wicked.

    We all may have felt this way before, that G-d is distant, that He doesn’t seem to answer our prayers in times of trouble. And again, you must walk by faith, falling back on what you know of G-d, His character, His love for you. He is there right beside you even in times of trials.

    In the Hebrew the phrase (אין אלוהים נמצא את המחשבות) “G-d is in none of his thoughts” can be translated “all his thoughts are there is no G-d.” Man is continually trying to convince himself that there is no G-d, and as they continue down this path their hearts are growing cold to what G-d has placed in their, that there is a G-d and mans desire to find Him.

    The wicked prey on the helpless and the innocent. Think of all the innocent children that are murdered in the womb every day. Their screams are silent to us, but G-d hears them. There are over 1,600,000 babies aborted in the United States every year, over 4,000 per hour. Since abortion was legalized in 1973 well over 20,000,000 babies have been murdered compared to all those killed from the Revolutionary War through the Vietnam War, which amounted to 1,160,581. How sad a nation we have become.

    When a person tells himself that G-d isn’t paying attention or G-d doesn’t care, then the restraints are thrown off.
    Ezekiel had a vision where he was taken to Jerusalem and shown some of the secret things that happened in the Temple.  In a way, it’s a picture of what people do in their hearts and minds (also a temple).

    Ezek 8:8-12 KJV  Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. {9} And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. {10} So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about. {11} And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up. {12} Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.

    Secret images in the dark.  Wicked things.  Because they thought G-d didn’t care or see.

    The reason they continue down this evil path is they don’t believe there will be a judgment. They don’t believe they will have to stand before G-d. How wrong they are.

    G-d will deal with the wicked. They won’t get away with anything. And G-d does stand up for the fatherless, the widowed, and the orphaned.

    Shalom

  • Healing

    Some of you may have already heard my story about my healing from Fibromyalgia others may not have. I hope you enjoy reading it. (added note…anyone who doesn’t know what Fibromyalgia is I am willing to explain)

    First my story then my thoughts on healing.

    I had fibromyalgia. It kept me from being able to do many things. It made me like a 80 or 90 year old rather then a 26 year old.

    My life is very different now.

    When I had Fibromyalgia I couldn’t keep up with the house work. I couldn’t cook all the time. I couldn’t take my children to something like vacation bible school because I couldn’t sit on the chairs that long.

    There were so many things I couldn’t do.

    Now I can clean. I can play with the children. I can pick up C when he has a ouchy with out it sticking me in bed the whole next day. I can take my children to V action Bible School all week instead of trying to take them one day and not being able to move the next. I can play on the porch with my children etc.

    I can be a wonderful 26 year old mother instead of a 80 year old mother.

    How was I healed?

    I went to church and was anointed and prayed for and Adonai-Rophe (The L-rd who heals) healed me.

    Now on to my thoughts on the topic of healing…..

    Many people teach today that Adonai will heal everybody, all the time, all they need is faith.

    They teach that when a person is not healed, then there is either unconfessed sin in the person’s life, or they lack faith.

    Though it could be true that a person isn’t being healed because of their lack of faith or because of unconfessed sin, it could also be that El-Shaddai doesn’t want them healed, or at least not yet.

    If Adonai heals everybody, and all you need is faith, then why doesn’t Paul just tell Timothy to “claim his healing?”  Instead, he says,
    1Tim.5:23  No longer drink water exclusively, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.

    There is another doctrine that teaches people that they need to believe that they are healed even when they don’t feel healed.  The problem I have with this is that it is teaching people to simply deny reality.  They are taught that if they ask for healing and don’t keep confessing that they are healed, then they lose it.

    There are no instances in scripture of a person getting “healed” who needed to be talked into believing that they were healed.

    James 5:14 Is anyone among you sick?  Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.

    El-Shaddai has redeemed us spiritually, emotionally, and one day He will redeem us physically. This is in the future, when Yeshua (Jesus) comes back to “catch up” or receive His bride, the church. It is then we will get new bodies, we will be moving out of this tent of flesh into mansions that G-d has prepared for us.

    As many try to deny the fact that we still have sickness, disease and death, the evidence speaks for itself.

    Romans 8:22-23, “For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.”

    We wait for that day when this physical body will be redeemed.

    “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed–in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: ‘Death is swallowed up in victory.’ ‘O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?’ The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” I Corinthians 15:51-58.

    At the time of the rapture of the church our physical body will also be redeemed!

    Mark 16:15-18 “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.’”

    Who can heal? Yeshua (Jesus) says all those who believe! That includes us, not just the apostles. Again, that doesn’t mean we can heal at will, but the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) gives this gift as He wills. That is very important for us to understand!

    Adonai is sovereign and He heals in His time and He heals those whom He wants to heal. We must not forget that. Those in the positive confession movement believe they can use a positive formula to get healing from Adonai-Rophe. They believe if you say anything negative, then those negative words you spoke will create a negative power and it will happen to you.

    Maybe you have heard of this story of three men traveling in a car and the driver asked the friend next to him, “How’s your brother doing?” The man responded by saying, “He’s really sick!” Quickly the driver responded, “Don’t say that negative thought, say that he thinks he is sick!” The driver then turned to the man in the back seat and asked “How’s your sister doing?” And he responded by saying “She thinks she’s dead!” Silly, yes, but that is the reality of what they teach.

    Today we see all kinds of abuse with this gift of healing. We see healers using sideshow tricks, growing a leg longer, pumping people up to make them think they are healed, and-so-on. This does not negate what Adonai is doing, but it does dishonor Him. And what happens is we see people following after signs and wonders instead of signs and wonders following after those that are in love with G-d.

    Benny Hinn teaches “Sickness does not belong to any of us…He promises to heal all – everyone, any, any whatsoever, everything – all our diseases! That means not even a headache, sinus problem, not even a toothache – nothing! No sickness should come your way…God’s greatest desire for the church of Jesus Christ…is that we be in total and perfect health.”

    Thus, if you have enough faith you will never be sick because that is part of the curse that was taken away by Yeshua. First of all, these faith teachers get sick, have surgery, and even die. And yet they make people feel guilty about their own sickness, that it is a lack of faith on their part, and that is why they are not healed. Wrong!

    Secondly, death is also part of the curse and yet we will all die one day. The death rate is still one per person. Yes these bodies will be redeemed some day but not yet. But now some faith teachers are now saying that if you had enough faith we would never die. How foolish. Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.”

    Paul had a “thorn in the flesh”, not the spirit. A physical problem that was not a small thorn, but literally a “tent spike”. And many believe it was a severe and painful eye problem. The reason G-d allowed Paul to suffer this way was to keep him humble and trusting in Adonai. Paul even believed in physicians, he had his own personal one, Dr. Luke! And Paul was a man of faith.

    “Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

    II Timothy 4:20 we see Paul leave Trophimus sick in Miletus. If Paul only knew of the faith formula, right? Wrong! I’m sure Paul prayed for this man and in the sovereignty El-Shaddai, he was still sick.

    Now why is it that some people are healed and some are not? I do not know. There are just a lot of things that I do not understand about divine healing. And I do know that many times there are people who think that they have developed some kind of formula about how to touch a person, where to touch them, and how to read the body language. They have developed a lot of formulas and they even hold seminars on healing. It is interesting that some of the people who conducted those seminars on healing are quite sick right now. But you know, when you think you have all of the answers, then G-d sort of shows you that you do not have all the answers. And you cannot put it down to a formula.

    Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. (1 Peter 4:19)

    And that takes tremendous faith to just say, “Well, it is all in Adonai’s hands and He is doing what He knows to be best.” And resting, not really struggling with it or fighting it, but just resting in that my life is in Adonai’s hands and He knows what is best.

    I believe in praying for the sick. I believe in laying hands on the sick in the name of Yeshua (Jesus). I believe in anointing with oil because it is scriptural. Some are healed and some are not, but that I leave with El-Shaddai.

    When you are diagnosed with depression, before you pop a prozac, ask the elders to pray for you. When your child is diagnosed with ADHD, before you put them on Ritalin bring them to the church and let them lay hands on them asking El-Shaddai to reach out from his heart of compassion for children, and bring peace into your child’s life. If you were to be diagnosed with cancer, please call the elders to pray for you before you start radiation or chemo therapy.

    Most of us are going to get some kind of disease that is going to cause this temple to deteriorate, and eventually collapse. The only thing we can hope for, is that if the rapture doesn’t happen before we die, is that our death will glorify El-Shaddai.

    “There shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain.” (Revelation 21:4)

    And despite the pain we suffer here on earth, once we get to heaven, we won’t even remember the pain.

    Adonai is far more concerned with the healing of your soul than He is with the healing of your body

    What good does it do for you to be healed only to die later in your sins? Oh you may be a good looking corpse lying in your coffin, but those good looks won’t do you any good as you spend eternity in hell. Even the strength you now have won’t help you overcome the pain that comes from being burned by the flames of hell that are so hot that they torment you, yet they never kill you. That is why it is essential for you to have a relationship with the only one who can give you eternal life.

    If you’re not a Christian, let me encourage you to right now ask the Great Physician, Yeshua Hammashiach (Jesus the Messiah), to come into your heart, and heal your sin-sick soul. He can do this because he is the one who let the Roman soldiers beat his back with a whip, 39 times, just so his blood could flow from those wounds so that he could rescue you from the terrorist Satan, who is holding you as a hostage. Yeshua Hammashiach also let the Roman soldiers nail his hands & feet to a cross so that through the blood that came forth from those wounds could pay the ransom to set you free from the penalty and power of sin. And he did all that just because he loved you. So how can you reject one who has such a love for you?

    Abba, we thank You for the love of Yeshua towards us. And we thank You that He bore our sins and by His stripes we are healed from our sins. Adonai, we come to You in our limitations. We do not know Your ways. We do not understand Your ways. We know that they are beyond our finding out. But Abba, we come and we trust You and we believe in You. Adonai, bring us to that place where You can do that which You are wanting to do. Give us a greater openness to the working of Your Spirit. Take away any barrier, any restriction that might come from us that would hinder the flow of Your Spirit from our lives. Help us, that we might be a witness to the world of the power and of the love of Yeshua Hammashiach. In His name, Abba, we ask these things. Amen.

    May El-Shaddai be with you and fill you with His Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit).

    (Just a note….I am not saying it is wrong for someone to take pills for a mental illness (Or any illness). I am just suggesting being prayed for before running off for some pill.)

    Shalom

  • New!!!

    My youngest son wanted me to take pictures of his new hair cut. He loves having his picture taken. So here is his new hair cut.

  • Do you pray before your meals?

    I was reading a comment by Lamb on a post by her husband and she brought up something I wanted to talk about with everyone and hear what they say.

    Do you pray before your meals? Did you know that the Torah/Bible command is to actually pray after meals

    Duet 8:10 “When you have eaten and are satisfied, you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you

    What are your thoughts?
