Sing forth, O you righteous, to ADONAI; it is fit that the upright acclaim Him.
Psalms 33 Sing forth, O you righteous, to ADONAI; it is fit that the upright acclaim Him. (2) Give thanks to ADONAI with the lyre, sing praises to him with a ten-stringed harp. (3) Sing to him a new song, make music at your best among shouts of joy. (4) For the word of ADONAI is true, and all his work is trustworthy. (5) He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the grace of ADONAI. (6) By the word of ADONAI the heavens were made, and their whole host by a breath from his mouth. (7) He collects the sea waters together in a heap; he puts the deeps in storehouses. (8) Let all the earth fear ADONAI! Let all living in the world stand in awe of him. (9) For he spoke, and there it was; he commanded, and there it stood. (10) ADONAI brings to nothing the plans of nations, he foils the plans of the peoples. (11) But the counsel of ADONAI stands forever, his heart’s plans are for all generations. (12) How blessed is the nation whose God is ADONAI, the people he chose as his heritage! (13) ADONAI looks out from heaven; he sees every human being; (14) from the place where he lives he watches everyone living on earth, (15) he who fashioned the hearts of them all and understands all they do. (16) A king is not saved by the size of his army, a strong man not delivered by his great strength. (17) To rely on a horse for safety is vain, nor does its great power assure escape. (18) But ADONAI’s eyes watch over those who fear him, over those who wait for his grace (19) to rescue them from death and keep them alive in famine. (20) We are waiting for ADONAI; he is our help and shield. (21) For in him our hearts rejoice, because we trust in his holy name. (22) May your mercy, ADONAI, be over us, because we put our hope in you.
Hebrews 13:15 Through him, therefore, let us offer God a sacrifice of praise continually. For this is the natural product of lips that acknowledge his name.
new song – chadash – new, new thing, fresh
As Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) moves through the hearts of His people, He gives them new songs to sing. There is nothing wrong with hymns, but if that is the last time Ruach HaKodesh has moved, the last time He gave us new songs, that is truly sad. Adonai gives us new songs to sing so that there is a freshness to our life and our worship. Also why draw the line at hymns…why not draw it before that…why not say only allowed to sing what the Jews sang back then?
Adonai has set His standards that we are to follow. I didn’t set the standard, Adonai did. I make no apology for speaking His truth no matter what man might say.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth.
The power of Adonai is seen in His creation. He created the Heaven and the Earth. Right now He is creating something out of each of us, for His glory.
Adonai’s Word stands forever. We hear people say that Adonai’s Word needs to be updated, changed for our generation, but that is not so. It is eternal. His Word will guide us as it did past generations.
Any nation that looks to Adonai for direction, they will be blessed.
Adonai told His people not to multiply horses because He knew they would trust in them for their victory in battle instead of Adonai.
Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered me, “This is the word of ADONAI to Z’rubavel: ‘Not by force, and not by power, but by my Spirit,’ says ADONAI-Tzva’ot.
Too often we keep looking at external things for our help. An army leader might say, “If I only had more tanks or bombers.” We might say, “If I only had a new job or more money.” Adonai can indeed use external things. He can help armies win with their tanks. Yes, Adonai can use a new job or more money in your life. But when we look to external things rather than Adonai, we make a mistake. Adonai isn’t limited to using external things.
How much faith do you have in Adonai to provide for you? He created the universe, He created you. He is able to meet your needs.
Philippians 4:19 Moreover, my God will fill every need of yours according to his glorious wealth, in union with the Messiah Yeshua.
May YESHUA Hammashiach lead you and guide you.
Shalom
