  • Number one Priority

Number 1 priority is to share the message of Yahshua (Jesus/Isa) Ha’Mashiach (the Messiah) to the unbeliever everywhere.

Acts 1:1-11  Dear Theophilos: In the first book, I wrote about everything Yeshua set out to do and teach,  (2)  until the day when, after giving instructions through the Ruach HaKodesh to the emissaries whom he had chosen, he was taken up into heaven.  (3)  After his death he showed himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. During a period of forty days they saw him, and he spoke with them about the Kingdom of God.  (4)  At one of these gatherings, he instructed them not to leave Yerushalayim but to wait for “what the Father promised, which you heard about from me.  (5)  For Yochanan used to immerse people in water; but in a few days, you will be immersed in the Ruach HaKodesh!”  (6)  When they were together, they asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore self-rule to Isra’el?”  (7)  He answered, “You don’t need to know the dates or the times; the Father has kept these under his own authority.  (8)  But you will receive power when the Ruach HaKodesh comes upon you; you will be my witnesses both in Yerushalayim and in all Y’hudah and Shomron, indeed to the ends of the earth!”  (9)  After saying this, he was taken up before their eyes; and a cloud hid him from their sight.  (10)  As they were staring into the sky after him, suddenly they saw two men dressed in white standing next to them.  (11)  The men said, “You Galileans! Why are you standing, staring into space? This Yeshua, who has been taken away from you into heaven, will come back to you in just the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

Acts 2:1-4  The festival of Shavu’ot arrived, and the believers all gathered together in one place.  (2)  Suddenly there came a sound from the sky like the roar of a violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.  (3)  Then they saw what looked like tongues of fire, which separated and came to rest on each one of them.  (4)  They were all filled with the Ruach HaKodesh and began to talk in different languages, as the Spirit enabled them to speak.

Number 1 priority is to share the message of Yahshua (Jesus/Isa) Ha’Mashiach (the Messiah) to the unbeliever everywhere.

There are at least 4,000 unreached people groups around the world that have never heard the gospel.

Yahshua took time to show many convincing proofs. G-d is not offended by honest questions and honest searching. When people are honestly seeking encourage them to pray to G-d and ask him to reveal Himself to them. He will be happy to.

The number one proof is our testimony. The testimony of our changed life. If we have come to G-d then our life should be a living, breathing, walking testimony.

Find opportunities to hang out with the unbeliever. Yahshua came to seek and to save the lost. Yahshua always had time to help those who were seeking.

The Ruach HaKodesh (Spirit of G-d) will help you share your faith. We are called to be witnesses for G-d. We need to live a life that is a witness of the power that G-d has in our life.

Pray for the sick and troubled. Pray for people. Look for an opportunity to pray for people. You could be called to pray for someone anywhere. Pray for them.

What is your focus? Are you reaching out to the lost?

  • Halleluyah! Give thanks to ADONAI

Psalms 106:1-48  Halleluyah! Give thanks to ADONAI; for he is good, for his grace continues forever.  (2)  Who can express ADONAI’s mighty doings or proclaim in full his praise?  (3)  How happy are those who act justly, who always do what is right!  (4)  Remember me, ADONAI, when you show favor to your people, keep me in mind when you save them;  (5)  so I can see how well things are going with those whom you have chosen, so that I can rejoice in your nation’s joy, and glory in your heritage.  (6)  Together with our ancestors, we have sinned, done wrong, acted wickedly.  (7)  Our ancestors in Egypt failed to grasp the meaning of your wonders. They didn’t keep in mind your great deeds of grace but rebelled at the sea, at the Sea of Suf.  (8)  Yet he saved them for his own name’s sake, to make known his mighty power.  (9)  He rebuked the Sea of Suf, and it dried up; he led them through its depths as through a desert.  (10)  He saved them from hostile hands, redeemed them from the power of the foe.  (11)  The water closed over their adversaries; not one of them was left.  (12)  Then they believed his words, and they sang his praise.  (13)  But soon they forgot his deeds and wouldn’t wait for his counsel.  (14)  In the desert they gave way to insatiable greed; in the wastelands they put God to the test.  (15)  He gave them what they wanted but sent meagerness into their souls.  (16)  In the camp they were jealous of Moshe and Aharon, ADONAI’s holy one.  (17)  The earth opened up and swallowed Datan and closed over Aviram’s allies.  (18)  A fire blazed out against that group, the flames consumed the wicked.  (19)  In Horev they fashioned a calf, they worshipped a cast metal image.  (20)  Thus they exchanged their Glory for the image of an ox that eats grass!  (21)  They forgot God, who had saved them, who had done great things in Egypt,  (22)  wonders in the land of Ham, fearsome deeds by the Sea of Suf.  (23)  Therefore he said that he would destroy them, [and he would have,] had not Moshe his chosen one stood before him in the breach to turn back his destroying fury.  (24)  Next, they rejected the beautiful land, they didn’t trust his promise;  (25)  and they complained in their tents, they didn’t obey ADONAI.  (26)  Therefore, raising his hand, he swore to them that he would strike them down in the desert  (27)  and strike down their descendants among the nations, dispersing them in foreign lands.  (28)  Now they joined themselves to Ba’al-P’or and ate meat sacrificed to dead things.  (29)  Thus they provoked him to anger with their deeds, so that a plague broke out among them.  (30)  Then Pinchas stood up and executed judgment; so the plague was checked.  (31)  That was credited to him as righteousness, through all generations forever.  (32)  They angered him at the M’rivah Spring, and Moshe suffered on their account;  (33)  for when they embittered his spirit, [Moshe] spoke up without thinking.  (34)  They failed to destroy the peoples, as ADONAI had ordered them to do,  (35)  but mingled with the nations and learned to follow their ways.  (36)  They went on to serve their idols, which became a snare for them.  (37)  They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.  (38)  Yes, they shed innocent blood, the blood of their own sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to Kena’an’s false gods, polluting the land with blood.  (39)  Thus they were defiled by their deeds; they prostituted themselves by their actions,  (40)  For this ADONAI’s fury blazed up against his people, and he detested his heritage.  (41)  He handed them over to the power of the nations, and those who hated them ruled over them.  (42)  Their enemies oppressed them and kept them in subjection to their power.  (43)  Many times [God] rescued them, but they kept making plans to rebel. Thus they were brought low by their own wrongdoing.  (44)  Still he took pity on their distress whenever he heard their cry.  (45)  For their sakes he kept in mind his covenant and in his limitless grace relented,  (46)  causing them to be treated with compassion by all who had taken them captive.  (47)  Save us, ADONAI our God! Gather us from among the nations, so that we can thank your holy name and glory in praising you.  (48)  Blessed be ADONAI, the God of Isra’el, from eternity past to eternity future. Now let all the people say, “Amen! Halleluyah!”

We can not speak enough of the goodness of G-d. There are blessings built in to our obedience to the Word of G-d.

G-d opened the Red Sea, allowing the children of Israel to cross through. Then, as the Egyptian army came through, the Sea closed up and drowned them all.

Numbers 11 when the people began to complain about not having any meat.  They were getting bored with the manna day in and day out.  As a result of their complaining, G-d gave them what they asked for, and the next day a wind brought in a huge amount of quail.  The people rushed out to get the quail and began to gorge themselves on the meat.

Numbers 11:33-34   And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague. {34} And he called the name of that place Kibrothhattaavah: because there they buried the people that lusted.

David continues with a history of Israel’s rebellion in the wilderness, including the incident of Korah’s rebellion (vs. 16-18; Num. 16); the golden calf (vs. 19-23; Ex. 32); complaining in the wilderness (vs. 24-27); compromise at Baalpeor (vs. 28-31; Num. 25); the waters of Meribah where Moses struck the Rock instead of speaking to it, disqualifying him for the Promised Land (vs. 32-33; Num. 20); and the time of the Judges when Israel failed to destroy the Canaanites and instead ended up adopting their ways (vs. 34-46)

David ends with a request for G-d to save them now, just like He did in the past.

    Blessings and Shalom

  • Challah fresh from the oven for Shabbat tonight

Here is a picture of the Challah this morning….Fresh from the oven and cooling for Shabbat

CHALLAH RECIPE (There are many recipes out there. This is just one of the many)

You need about four hours in the refrigerator or until the bread rises to the top of your large bowl. I usually make my bread on Thursday night just before I go to bed. Then Friday it is ready to braid.

2 cups warm water or milk
    2 pkgs dry active yeast
    6-7 cups bread flour
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 t. salt
    1/4 cup oil
    1 egg

    1. In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water (careful of the temperature or it won’t rise. You can use a thermometer to check the temperature. You want 75-120 degrees.) Stir in sugar and salt. Add 3 cups flour and mix well. Add oil and egg and mix well. Then add remaining flour. (The dough will be a little sticky but don’t add more flour.)

    2. Wet a clean dish towel and ring it out. Cover the bowl of dough with the towel. Put the bowl in the refrigerator and let stand overnight.

    3. When dough is doubled in size braid as follows:

Divide the dough into 3 pieces. Cut 1 piece into thirds; with your hands roll each piece into a 16 inch-long rope or snake. Place ropes side by side and braid as you would hair.

Pinch ends of braid to seal. Place on cookie sheet the bottom loaf. Repeat with another piece for another loaf. Cut remaining dough into 6 pieces; roll each into 17 inch-long ropes. Braid each set of three ropes as shown in figure; pinch ends to seal.

Place each smaller braid on top of a large braid; tuck ends of top braid under bottom braid stretching top braid if necessary.

    4. Arrange loaves at least 5 inches apart on oiled or greased cookie sheet; cover and let rise in warm place until doubles in size. (Depending on your house temperature. Find a warm place. or set on stove and turn oven on warm and open the door)

    5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook bread for about 35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and brush top and sides of loaves with butter. Let cool on wire rack.

  • Law and Grace

G-d’s law presents a high standard, one that man cannot achieve. Mortal man always falls short in one way or another.

G-d’s ever-present, eternal law points out our transgressions. It shows our need for Messiah’s sacrifice, for mercy and grace.

When we believe in the Messiah, believe that He died in our place, we find forgiveness, we find Salvation.

Ephesians 2:8-9  For you have been delivered by grace through trusting, and even this is not your accomplishment but God’s gift.  (9)  You were not delivered by your own actions; therefore no one should boast.

We are saved by grace alone, and not on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace

Romans 11:6  Now if it is by grace, it is accordingly not based on legalistic works; if it were otherwise, grace would no longer be grace.

Because the fact that we are saved by grace alone is such an absolute truth, some want to say that a Believer in the Messiah does not have to do anything but believe in the Messiah.

    But then comes this:

Ephesians 2:10  For we are of God’s making, created in union with the Messiah Yeshua for a life of good actions already prepared by God for us to do.

We are called to walk in good works.

James 2:17-26  Thus, faith by itself, unaccompanied by actions, is dead.  (18)  But someone will say that you have faith and I have actions. Show me this faith of yours without the actions, and I will show you my faith by my actions!  (19)  You believe that “God is one”? Good for you! The demons believe it too – the thought makes them shudder with fear!  (20)  But, foolish fellow, do you want to be shown that such “faith” apart from actions is barren?  (21)  Wasn’t Avraham avinu declared righteous because of actions when he offered up his son Yitz’chak on the altar?  (22)  You see that his faith worked with his actions; by the actions the faith was made complete;  (23)  and the passage of the Tanakh was fulfilled which says, “Avraham had faith in God, and it was credited to his account as righteousness.” He was even called God’s friend.  (24)  You see that a person is declared righteous because of actions and not because of faith alone.  (25)  Likewise, wasn’t Rachav the prostitute also declared righteous because of actions when she welcomed the messengers and sent them out by another route?  (26)  Indeed, just as the body without a spirit is dead, so too faith without actions is dead.

We see that man was created for good works, the question becomes: how can we know what are good works?

We cannot know apart from the Instruction manual that is the Torah.

    Deuteronomy 6:4  “Sh’ma, Yisra’el! ADONAI Eloheinu, ADONAI echad [Hear, Isra'el! ADONAI our God, ADONAI is one];

Deuteronomy 4:6  Therefore, observe them; and follow them; for then all peoples will see you as having wisdom and understanding. When they hear of all these laws, they will say, ‘This great nation is surely a wise and understanding people.’

    Deuteronomy 11:8  Therefore, you are to keep every mitzvah I am giving you today; so that you will be strong enough to go in and take possession of the land you are crossing over to conquer;

Because we want to be a strong and wise people, we look to the Torah for truth.

Because we realize that G-d says that That He changes not…we realize that the Torah is still important today

Matthew 5:17-19  “Don’t think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete.  (18)  Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah — not until everything that must happen has happened.  (19)  So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

As His bond-servants, during our sojourn on this earth we are in the process of having G-d’s Torah written on our hearts that is the essence of the New Covenant.

Bond-servants stay with their masters out of love for them.

We are not in our Master’s house because we have a debt to pay, but because we do not want to live anywhere else. We are like the returning prodigal: it is better to be a servant in the Father’s house than to be a king outside of it.

G-d wants people who will love Him.
G-d wants us to want Him even as He wants us.

If we do not understand that it all boils down to love, then we do not understand Torah, which is in truth a love story. G-d is the Living Torah, and He is Love.

If we live in a way that does not give evidence to the world that we are returning this great love to our Master, we do not fully know His love. For to know Him is to love Him. And, if you love Him, you will keep His commandments.

    John 14:15  “If you love me, you will keep my commands;

So, It is neither Law nor Grace….It is both.

We are saved by grace and because of that we follow the Torah (Law). We follow it because we love Him.

    Blessings and Shalom

  • Give thanks to ADONAI!

Psalms 105:1-45  Give thanks to ADONAI! Call on his name! Make his deeds known among the peoples.  (2)  Sing to him, sing praises to him, talk about all his wonders.  (3)  Glory in his holy name; let those seeking ADONAI have joyful hearts.  (4)  Seek ADONAI and his strength; always seek his presence.  (5)  Remember the wonders he has done, his signs and his spoken rulings.  (6)  You descendants of Avraham his servant, you offspring of Ya’akov, his chosen ones,  (7)  he is ADONAI our God! His rulings are everywhere on earth.  (8)  He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded to a thousand generations,  (9)  the covenant he made with Avraham, the oath he swore to Yitz’chak,  (10)  and established as a law for Ya’akov, for Isra’el as an everlasting covenant:  (11)  “To you I will give the land of Kena’an as your allotted heritage.”  (12)  When they were but few in number, and not only few, but aliens there too,  (13)  wandering from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,  (14)  he allowed no one to oppress them. Yes, for their sakes he rebuked even kings:  (15)  “Don’t touch my anointed ones or do my prophets harm!”  (16)  He called down famine on the land, broke off all their food supply,  (17)  but sent a man ahead of them -Yosef, who was sold as a slave.  (18)  They shackled his feet with chains, and they bound him in irons;  (19)  until the time when his word proved true, God’s utterance kept testing him.  (20)  The king sent and had him released, the ruler of peoples set him free;  (21)  he made him lord of his household, in charge of all he owned,  (22)  correcting his officers as he saw fit and teaching his counselors wisdom.  (23)  Then Isra’el too came into Egypt, Ya’akov lived as an alien in the land of Ham.  (24)  There God made his people very fruitful, made them too numerous for their foes,  (25)  whose hearts he turned to hate his people, and treat his servants unfairly.  (26)  He sent his servant Moshe and Aharon, whom he had chosen.  (27)  They worked his signs among them, his wonders in the land of Ham.  (28)  He sent darkness, and the land grew dark; they did not defy his word.  (29)  He turned their water into blood and caused their fish to die.  (30)  Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the royal chambers.  (31)  He spoke, and there came swarms of insects and lice throughout their land.  (32)  He gave them hail instead of rain, with fiery [lightning] throughout their land.  (33)  He struck their vines and fig trees, shattering trees all over their country.  (34)  He spoke, and locusts came, also grasshoppers without number;  (35)  they ate up everything green in their land, devoured the fruit of their ground. 896  (36)  He struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their strength.  (37)  Then he led his people out, laden with silver and gold; among his tribes not one stumbled.  (38)  Egypt was happy to have them leave, because fear of [Isra'el] had seized them.  (39)  He spread out a cloud to screen them off and fire to give them light at night.  (40)  When they asked, he brought them quails and satisfied them with food from heaven.  (41)  He split a rock, and water gushed out, flowing as a river over the dry ground,  (42)  for he remembered his holy promise to his servant Avraham.  (43)  He led out his people with joy, his chosen ones with singing.  (44)  Then he gave them the lands of the nations, and they possessed what peoples had toiled to produce,  (45)  in order to obey his laws and follow his teachings. Halleluyah!

It is easy to complain, but what we need to do is to cultivate a thankful heart, and share the goodness of G-d with others. When you fill your mind with the things of G-d you will not give room for all the garbage that has been stored there over the years.

Abraham was a idol worshiping gentile prior to being called out of the Ur of the Chaldeans. And as he crossed over the Euphrates River, he was called a Hebrew, which means “one who has crossed over”. And this speaks of Abraham separating himself from the world, being a pilgrim, and walking by faith through the land of Canaan, which G-d was going to give to His people one day.

G-d is faithful. You can depend on Him. G-d kept His promise to Abraham concerning the land – through Abraham’s life – through Joseph’s life – with the deliverance out of Egypt. Israel inherited the land.  Just like G-d promised.

  • Foods Clean And Unclean

    Leviticus 11:2, 46-47
“Speak to the sons of Israel saying, These are the living things which you shall eat out of all the animals which are on the earth.
“This is the law of the animals, and of the fowl, and of every living creature which moves in the waters, and every creature which swarms on the earth.
“To make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten, and the living thing that may not be eaten.”

        Leviticus 20:25
“And you shall make a difference between the clean animals and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean. And you shall not defile your souls by beast or by fowl, or by anything which swarms the ground, which I have set apart to you as unclean.”

    Deuteronomy 14:21
“You shall not eat of anything that died of itself. You may give it to the alien who is within your gates, that he may eat it. Or you may sell it to a foreigner. For you are a holy people to Yahweh your Elohim. You shall not simmer a kid in its mother’s milk.”

    Leviticus 17:10-14
“And any man of the house of Israel, or of the aliens who is staying in your midst, who eats any blood, I will set my face against that person that eats blood and will cut him off from his people.
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar, to make atonement for your souls; for it is in the blood which makes atonement for the soul.
“For this reason I have said to the sons of Israel, No person among you shall eat blood; and the alien who is staying in your midst shall not eat blood.
“And any man of the sons of Israel, or of the aliens who reside in your midst, who hunt game of beast or fowl which may be eaten, then he shall pour out its blood and cover it with dust.
“For the life of all flesh is its blood. And I say to the children of Israel, You shall not eat blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; anyone eating it shall be cut off.”

         Genesis 9:4
“But you shall not eat flesh in its life, its blood.”

         Leviticus 3:16-17
“And the priest shall burn them as incense on the altar, bread of the fire offering for soothing fragrance; all the fat is Yahweh’s.
“It shall be a never-ending statute for your generations. You shall not eat any fat or blood.”

Notice that. Fat is included by Yahweh as well as the blood.

        Leviticus 7:23-27
“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, You shall not eat any fat of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.
“And the fat of a dead body, and the fat of a thing torn may be used for any work, but you certainly shall not eat it.
“For whosoever eats the fat of the animal, of which one brings near a fire offering to Yahweh, even the person who eats shall be cut off from his people.
“And you shall not eat any blood in all your dwellings, of fowl, or of animal.
“Any person who eats any blood, even that person shall be cut off from his people.”

How did Yahshua (Jesus) look at this? Some say that in the following Scripture He said that it didn’t matter what was ingested. Is that true? Is that what it says?

        Matthew 15:1-3, 16-20
“Then the scribes and Pharisees came to Yahshua from Jerusalem, saying.
“Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.
“But answering He said to them, Why do you also transgress the command of Yahweh on account of your tradition?
“But Yahshua said, Are you also still without understanding?
“Do you not yet perceive that everything entering in to the mouth goes down into the belly, and is thrown out into the wastebowl?
“But the things which have come out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and these defile the man.
“For out of the heart came forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, lies, blasphemies.
“These things are the things defiling the man. But eating with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”

The subject here was not the foods they ate – it was the hand washing rituals instituted by the Rabbis. Yahshua condemned those traditions – those of strict cleanliness rules and the washings that they adhered to that are not found in Scripture. They took the laws Yahweh presented and added all kinds of restrictions to them, making them burdensome. Yahshua told them their superior attitude and condemnation of others was the problems – not the foods they did nor did not eat. Nowhere did He tell them those laws had been set aside or that they were free to eat anything they wanted. He changed none of the Law.

        Matthew 5:17-18
“Do not think that I came to annul the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to annul, but to fulfill.
“Truly I say to you, Until the heavens and the earth pass away, in no way shall one iota or one tittle pass away from the law until all come to pass.”

This has not happened yet, has it? Heaven and earth are still in place; they have not passed away. So then all Yahweh’s laws are still in place and in effect, aren’t they?

Acts 10 was telling Peter to see a Gentile….If it is read totally through it is very very easy to see it had nothing to do with eating.

  • UPDATED BREAKING NEWS — AMBER ALERT PA

    UPDATE: FOUND
missing mom Bonnie Sweeten, and her young daughter, have been found by the FBI in Orlando, Florida.

This development came just hours after sources told Action News that video surveillance at Philadelphia International Airport captured Sweeten, 38, and her daughter Julia Rakoczy, 9, boarding a plane on Tuesday afternoon.

Those sources say the flight left at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and was heading to Orlando.

Sources say they have numerous pictures of Sweeten and Rakoczy at the airport, and say they were boarding the plane of their own free will, and were not accompanied by anyone else.

Investigators say they can now conclude that the two were not abducted.

This all began around 1:50 p.m. Tuesday when Sweeten called 911 to say she had been in a car crash. She claimed the pair of men then abducted her and her 9-year-old daughter, and stole her SUV.

Police found the SUV early Wednesday morning at 15th and Chestnut in Center City Philadelphia.

Cracks in her story started to appear after it was revealed that the Sweeten’s GMC Yukon Denali had a parking ticket on it with a time stamp of 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.

That 30 minute window from when she told police she was abducted and when the ticket was issued would be an incredibly tight timeframe to get from the suburban town to the heart of the city.

Furthermore, police say they traced Sweeten’s first 911 call to a cell phone tower near the location where the SUV was found, indicating it may have been there the entire time.

Additionally, investigators say Sweeten gave conflicting stories about where her daughter was; Whether she was with her in the trunk, or still in her SUV.

On Wednesday, police recovered a surveillance video from a restaurant nearby where the SUV was found. However, they have not said what, if anything, was on the tape.

Police also visited the head of the Carlitz Foundation in New Hope, Pa. Sweeten is listed as a director of the foundation. However, Action News has learned she no longer works there.

It bills itself as a charity, raising money for children in Burma. But, it is not registered as a charitable non-profit with the state.

It is run by lawyer Debbie Carlitz, who would not talk to Action News except to say she has been talking to police. She also would not say why Sweeten is a former employee.

Action News spoke exclusively to Larry Sweeten, Bonnie’s current husband. He told Nora Muchanic that he is just as much in the dark about this ordeal as everyone else.

“I think I’m in a dream. This has taken me by such a surprise. I just want her to know she has tons of support, and whatever it is we can work through it,” Larry Sweeten said.

He said he had no clue why his wife would go to Florida. He also says police are not looking at him as someone who’s involved in her diappearance.

“I’m begging you, please come home,” Sweeten said, addressing his wife. “We have a new daughter, she needs you,” he said, referring to their 8-month-old baby.

Action News also spoke to Tony Rakoczy, Julia’s father and Sweeten’s ex-husband, who says he can’t believe this is happening.

“I just want to know where they are, if they’re safe,” Rakoczy said.

Rakoczy said he and Sweeten have maintained a cordial relationship since their divorce in 2003. They have another daughter together, 15-year-old Paige.

From his home in Feasterville, Pa., Rakoczy described Julia as an upbeat girl who plays softball and loves cheerleading and the Phillies. He, like everyone else, is trying to figure out what happened.

  • Cell Phones — Are they worth the money?

Cell phone…..Do you have one? Why or why not?

    Is it worth the money?

Our contract on our cell phone is expiring soon and we are trying to decide if we should continue to have one or not. I would love to hear from people on both sides. The pros and the cons of cell phones.

I have had a cell phone since I was 16 (11 years) so it would be weird not to have one but is it worth the money?
  • Bless ADONAI, my soul!

Psalms 104:1-35  Bless ADONAI, my soul! ADONAI, my God, you are very great; you are clothed with glory and majesty,  (2)  wrapped in light as with a robe. You spread out the heavens like a curtain,  (3)  you laid the beams of your palace on the water. You make the clouds your chariot, you ride on the wings of the wind.  (4)  You make winds your messengers, fiery flames your servants.  (5)  You fixed the earth on its foundations, never to be moved.  (6)  You covered it with the deep like a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.  (7)  At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they rushed away,  (8)  flowing over hills, pouring into valleys, down to the place you had fixed for them.  (9)  You determined a boundary they could not cross; they were never to cover the earth again.  (10)  You make springs gush forth in the vadis; they flow between the hills,  (11)  supplying water to all the wild animals; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.  (12)  On their banks the birds of the air build their nests; among the branches they sing.  (13)  You water the mountains from your palace; the earth is satisfied with how you provide  (14)  You grow grass for the cattle; and for people you grow the plants they need to bring forth bread from the earth,  (15)  wine that gladdens the human heart, oil to make faces glow, and food to sustain their strength.  (16)  ADONAI’s trees are satisfied -the cedars of the L’vanon, which he has planted.  (17)  In them sparrows build their nests, while storks live in the fir trees.  (18)  For the wild goats there are the high mountains, while the coneys find refuge in the rocks.  (19)  You made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to set.  (20)  You bring darkness, and it is night, the time when all forest animals prowl.  (21)  The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God.  (22)  The sun rises, they slink away and lie down to rest in their dens;  (23)  while people go out to their work, laboring on till evening.  (24)  What variety there is in your works, ADONAI! How many [of them there are]! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creations.  (25)  Look at the sea, so great, so wide! It teems with countless creatures, living beings, both large and small.  (26)  The ships are there, sailing to and fro; Livyatan, which you formed to play there.  (27)  All of them look to you to give them their food when they need it.  (28)  When you give it to them, they gather it; when you open your hand, they are well satisfied.  (29)  If you hide your face, they vanish; if you hold back their breath, they perish and return to their dust.  (30)  If you send out your breath, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth.  (31)  May the glory of ADONAI last forever! May ADONAI rejoice in his works!  (32)  When he looks at the earth, it trembles; when he touches the mountains, they pour out smoke.  (33)  I will sing to ADONAI as long as I live, sing praise to my God all my life.  (34)  May my musings be pleasing to him; I will rejoice in ADONAI.  (35)  May sinners vanish from the earth and the wicked be no more! Bless ADONAI, my soul! Halleluyah!

There is no darkness in G-d, He is absolute purity.

Too often all we see is our own little world with our own four walls and we forget just how huge and complex this universe is.

Evolutionists tell us that our eyes started out as some sort of a mole or perhaps a bruise, that eventually developed into an eye.  Yet when you think of how complex the human eye is, how could that be so?

Open your eyes to see the wonders of creation.  We have a wonderful G-d.

Today we only have a glimpse of the beauty of creation, for sin has clouded over it. But we still can see some of that beauty, and it should cause us to praise G-d.
