  • I lie prostrate in the dust

Psalms 119:25-32  (Dalet) I lie prostrate in the dust; revive me, in keeping with your word.  (26)  I told you of my ways, and you answered me; teach me your laws.  (27)  Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your wonders.  (28)  I am melting away from anxiety and grief; renew my strength, in keeping with your word.  (29)  Keep deceitful ways far from me, and favor me with your Torah.  (30)  I choose the way of trust; I set your rulings [before me].  (31)  I cling to your instruction; ADONAI, don’t let me be put to shame!  (32)  I will run the way of your mitzvot, for you have broadened my understanding.

    DALETH G-d’s Word Strengthens

You can fill your life living in sin and it will bring you pleasure for a time, but it is only temporary. True joy is found in G-d, being obedient to His Word.

His Word give gives us life. It lifts us out of the dust. It strengthens us.

When G-d reveals an area in your life that you need to change, do you run to obey it? I think many times we drag our feet, holding on as long as possible to it. But the more we obey the more our heart grows in love with G-d and His Word.

    Blessings and Shalom

  • i guess i’ve learned to run to obey it – not b/c of anything in me that makes me special, but b/c of God refining me a whole heckuva lot. hahah.  i’ve had to learn the hard way the consequences of sin. and b/c i know what these hands are capable of — it’s a no brainer now. God’s ways are always better than mine. i just wish more would realize that IF you are obedient and run to His ways of doing things, He will give you all the wisdom and insight and foresight you need to deal with anything. so that whatever happens, whatever trial, God will help you through it. but also that trials are blessings in and of themselves.  there are things God wants us to do…step out of our comfort zones, witness to people who we may not want to witness to, go out of our way and do things that we wouldn’t normally be apt to or want to do. but more often than not, the very things we don’t want to do are exactly the things that God wants us to do. haha…these days whenever i really don’t want to do something it’s like a red flag to check myself to see if maybe it’s the very thing i should be doing! hahah. =)

    awesome post.

blessings  to you and your 4 dear ones this week =)    now i must scurry!!
