Plastic Roads???
The plastic appears to have strengthened roads by enhancing ashphalt’s bonding ability, and made the roads longer lasting. While normal road surface lasts 3-4 years, a plastic-bitumen road lasts at least 7-8 years Cost of the road is just about 4-5 percent more than a normal bitumen (asphalt or asphalt cement) road.
What are your thoughts on this?
Why aren’t more places doing this with Plastic waste?

Maybe easier on your tires? They use recycled blacktop around here (N. Texas) and it is very loud to drive on
Why aren’t more places doing this? It’s probably expensive to implement. It’s a good technology (or at least a good idea), so probably it’s money getting in the way.

because what may work in a hot country like india may not work in the state i am in. for example, we deal with snow and blizzards and extremely high humidity all within a year. that plastic would be cracking and freezing. each area in the US roads are made differently because of the average heat.
that’s a great idea. I think they probably aren’t using it around here because people (the majority anyway) hate change. *shrugs*
Interesting. We certainly have plenty of plastic waste. What happens to the plastic after the road wears out?
