Sorry…I no understand you
I was downstairs with grandma. I come up and the answering machine light is blinking. I go to listen to the message. I can not understand a single word. Someone left a message in Spanish. Hello….if you call my house and hear my answering machine message and it is in English and I do NOT have a Spanish accent, shouldn’t that clue you in that you either A have the wrong number or B better speak English to me.The message has been erased. I do not speak Spanish. If the person really wants to talk to me they can call back and leave a message I can understand in either German, English or Pennsylvania Dutch. The person could not have known me though or they would know I do not speak Spanish. So Bye bye and a word of advice….if the person’s answering machine is talking a certain language it helps if you leave your message in the same language if you want to be understood. -

Earrings and Men???
I was asked how I can allow my son to have his earring.
Here are my thoughts. Please read and then feel free to share yours. There is nothing against it in the bible. W actually had his done right after he accepted The LordWe were in the middle of talking about how the Hebrew slaves who would choose to stay with their Hebrew masters after 7 years when the time of freedom would come would have their ear pierced to show that they were bondservants to the master and about how the bible talks about us being bondservants to Messiah.Judges 8:24 And Gideon said unto them, I would make a request of you, that ye would give me every man the ear-rings of his spoil. (For they had golden ear-rings, because they were Ishmaelites.)I think that God does not care whether man wears an ear ring or not… That really does not matter as long as the attitude is correct! Is it a sin to wear a tie? Sure not.. Everyone thinks that a tie adds to beautiful values. It is like a permitted thing. Is there really a difference between wearing a tie or an ear ring? No.Would God use an example of doing something He hates as a blessings?Ezekiel 1611 And I adorned you with ornaments and put bracelets on your wrists and a chain on your neck. 12 And I put a ring on your nose and earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head. 13 Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was of fine linen and silk and embroidered cloth. You ate fine flour and honey and oil. You grew exceedingly beautiful and advanced to royalty. 14 And your renown went forth among the nations because of your beauty, for it was perfect through the splendor that I had bestowed on you, declares the Lord God.There were men and women in the Bible who wore earrings (Exodus 32:2-3; Numbers 31:50; Judges 8:24; Song of Solomon 1:10-11). The Bible nowhere condemns an earring or earrings in women or men.The Bible says that both males and females among the people of Israel wore earrings at some point in history. As a result, it could not have been a sin.
“And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.” (Exodus 32:2) This was Aaron asking for gold with which to build the golden calf. It just shows that men wore earrings in the early days of the Jewish nation.
“And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.” (Exodus 35:22) Again this just shows that it was not uncommon for men to have earrings.
“And they answered, We will willingly give them. And they spread a garment, and did cast therein every man the earrings of his prey. And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their camels’ necks.” (Judges 8:25-26) This shows that other nations also wore earrings, apparently a lot of them.
