  • Time to Recalibrate

Recalibrate–Standardize. Example would be setting your clock to the time zone you are in. There is no point in having your clock set to The PST when you are in Eastern.

If YHVH (God) removed the title “Christian” from your life today. How would He or anyone else know who you are?
What if you could not say when some asks you “what do you believe?” What if you couldn’t just say “well, I’m a Christian.” What if the only way you could respond is “well, watch my life and see.”

One source online estimates that there are 34,000 different Christian groups in the world. Another source says that there are roughly 2 billion people who call themselves Christians in the world today. And 85% of the people in the USA consider themselves to be Christian. This would include Mormons, Jehovah’s Witness, Unitarian, Messianic and other names that I don’t even recognize. Now if 85% of the US was Christian wouldn’t you expect 85% of your daily experience would have some flavor of that on it? Does it?

So what is a Christian really? How do I determine if I am one? The bible tells us in 2 Corinthians to test yourself to see if you really are in the faith. Which means that it is possible to be deceived about that. (I don’t want to make you insecure. That is not my goal)

2 Corinthians 11:2-3  For I am jealous for you with God’s kind of jealousy; since I promised to present you as a pure virgin in marriage to your one husband, the Messiah;  (3)  and I fear that somehow your minds may be seduced away from simple and pure devotion to the Messiah, just as Havah (Eve) was deceived by the serpent and his craftiness.

During the day does Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (Jesus the Messiah) come to mind? At work does Yeshua Ha’Mashiach come to mind? Is Yeshua the center focal point of your life? YHVH wants our hearts. YHVH pours out His heart without measure on people without mixture. Purity. It is commitment without mixture.

Revelation 19:7-10  “Let us rejoice and be glad! Let us give him the glory! For the time has come for the wedding of the Lamb, and his Bride has prepared herself -  (8)  fine linen, bright and clean has been given her to wear.” (“Fine linen” means the righteous deeds of God’s people.)  (9)  The angel said to me, “Write: ‘How blessed are those who have been invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb!’” Then he added, “These are God’s very words.”  (10)  I fell at his feet to worship him; but he said, “Don’t do that! I’m only a fellow-servant with you and your brothers who have the testimony of Yeshua. Worship God! For the testimony of Yeshua is the Spirit of prophecy.”

Do you know who the bride is here? It is us. The Believers. The bride has made herself ready. YHVH didnt make the bride ready. Not saying that there wasn’t grace there to do that, but there is a part where we engage in the process.

What is it like to be a bride? A bride is focused on the wedding plans. She is not distracted by other lovers. This is what the mind of a Believer is to be. We are betrothed to one husband, YHVH. He should be our desire. When YHVH comes will He find a bride waiting or will He find a whore in Prostitution?

Revelation 17-19 talks about a prostitute. The city of Babylon. People who are drunk on the spirit of this age.
2 Corinthians 6 and 7 tells us to come out from among that spirit of the age and be separate. YHVH is calling us out of all the stuff that is all around us. Some people call themselves Christian while following the spirit of the world.

Corruption begins in the mind. Our mind is led astray. Our conversation. The bible says its the little foxes that spoil the vine.

Do we believe that all it takes is a simple prayer and that the end of it? “Jesus be Lord of my life. I am a sinner. Amen.” NO! Giving your life to Yeshua is a daily choice. It is not a once for all. It is a continual commitment.
Revelation seven times tells us that those who perserver to the end will be saved. The manifestation of faith is this ongoing perservearance of commitment day in and day out.

I believe there are things coming that many of us are not totally ready for. If we are not ready and prepared we will cave in. We need to have simple trust and pure reliance on the Living God.

Many who call themselves Christians now want things easy and fast. Some of the stuff I hear flying as prophecy now days is NOT. You say who are you to judge. I am just a Believer. The bible is true. True prophecy will NOT go against the bible.

Matthew 25:1-13  “The Kingdom of Heaven at that time will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom.  (2)  Five of them were foolish and five were sensible.  (3)  The foolish ones took lamps with them but no oil,  (4)  whereas the others took flasks of oil with their lamps.  (5)  Now the bridegroom was late, so they all went to sleep.  (6)  It was the middle of the night when the cry rang out, `The bridegroom is here! Go out to meet him!’  (7)  The girls all woke up and prepared their lamps for lighting.  (8)  The foolish ones said to the sensible ones, `Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’  (9)  `No,’ they replied, `there may not be enough for both you and us. Go to the oil dealers and buy some for yourselves.’  (10)  But as they were going off to buy, the bridegroom came. Those who were ready went with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.  (11)  Later, the other bridesmaids came. `Sir! Sir!’ they cried, `Let us in!’  (12)  But he answered, `Indeed! I tell you, I don’t know you!’  (13)  So stay alert, because you know neither the day nor the hour.

Believers waiting for Messiah to come. Wise believers have oil. All slept. Worldwide spiritual apathy. I think we are in a time where there is wide spread spiritual apathy. At midnight, a period of darkness. We need to make sure we have oil in our lamps. A cry was heard, prophetic voices. Will you be a part of the sleeping or a part of the prophetic voice that is waking it up? Behold the bridegroom.

If a man can talk you into it, then a man can talk you out of it, but if you experience YHVH, there is no one who can talk you out of it. We need to deliver experience, not words. I want to see blind eyes opened. I want to see deaf hear. I want to see people get out of their wheelchairs. I want to see people cured. YHVH says it is really fun in the deep end. But there is a price to go deep. You not going to get it the American way of throwing your Christianity in the microwave and hoping that is going to sustain.

A person said “wow you are on fire and I am so lukewarm.”
Really? What if I am lukewarm and you are just cold?

We are talking about recalibrating. There is a calibrating tool out there. His name is Yeshua Ha’Mashiach. His tool is the Word of YHVH and you can’t fake that out. The calibration tool knows the truth.

The problem with the Christian Church is we have been tuned to a lower standard. We call lukewarmness fire and we call coldness lukewarmeness and we call evil cold.

YHVH is saying that it is time to recalibrate. It is time to get into the presence of YHVH. The word of God should led you to His presence. Look at the lives of the martyrs. See what fiery life looks like. Yehsua is a consuming fire. The problem with the modern church is we want the faith and lifestyle of the apostles but we don’t want to put forth the prayer, dedication, worship to get it. It needs to be a whole lifestyle.

A true believer is a disciple who enters into the lifestyle and discipline of Yeshua. A heart devoted to Him. Ask yourself…Am I devoted more now then when I started? It matters. I invite you to recalibrate your life.

  • I really like the picture at the top.

  • This is powerful, sister. Yes, Yeshua is an all-consuming fire! Our lives should be consumed by Him, yet we seem to be content to get just close enough to simply warm ourselves by the fire. Very convicting.

  • that was really well-written!

  • The behavior of other people who call themselves by the name of “Christian”, yet treat all of humanity horribly is the reason that I do not use the word Christian to label myself.  Good post. ^_^

  • If our works righteousness is good enough to deliver us from the second death then why do we all have to die some day?  Why can’t your works make you life forever in this life?

1 John 1:8   If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If I only sin once a day, I think that means I’m doing pretty good with my works righteousness.  Right?  One sin times 360 days times an average of 70 years = 25,200 sins.

I try to do good.  I try to teach myself but I’m only so good because the Bible says I fall short:

    Romans 3:23   For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

It is because I’ve inherited a sin nature which is in my flesh and I know my heart.  No matter how hard I try, I’m not perfect and that is why God gave the curse so I wouldn’t live forever in this body of sin.  The message is not what we can do.  The message is about what He has done.

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

The word for saved here is sozo and it is in reference for healing because if those left behind endure, they will see Messiah and He will save us by healing them and showing them the way.  It is about a different dispensation and those who are left behind are a remnant and the others who are left behind don’t repent which is why they are left behind: to experience wrath.

If we could all be righteous then we wouldn’t need a day of atonement.
