• The death of loved ones

  I took grandma to visit her sister Susan today. Susan is 90 years old. Susan has not talked for years now but as of a week ago Susan stopped eating and as of when we were there this morning Susan hadn’t even taken a drink of water in 24 hours. Needless to say they do not expect Susan to live much longer. I am glad that I was able to take grandma to visit her oldest sister one more time before she passes away.

  This was good for grandma to do but it was also very hard for her. It was hard for her to see her sister like that. At the same time though grandma is very happy she went even though she didn’t know at first if she wanted to. She had been afraid that she would be “in the way.”
