The truth about the lies
New radio ad put out by the National Organization for Marriage last week is just out-and-out deceitful. It’s packed full of lies and misrepresentations, this is to set the record straight, as it were, by going point by point through their bizarre claims and explaining why they are wrong, wrong, wrong.

He’s so darn cute.
San Francisco: open homosexual displays. “They” are Imposing their values on the city, and encouragement for the whole nation to likewise have such displays that cannot even be shown on broadcast TV.
Judge Walker: admits that he is homosexual. He ruled against what was Constitutionally legal– the people make the laws, not the judicial branch. Therefore, he is unconstitutional.
Ruling: yes, it will start destroying family value laws in place. What one judge rules, becomes precedent for all other judicial jurisdictions.
Traditional Marriage: this is not a concept without clear meaning. It is the statutary laws our nation has lived with for 2 centuries. Before that it was the common law of all civilized countries.
Just who is this commentator, and what makes him an expert?
Prop 8 should be reinstated. Everyone has distinctive genders for a reason. If we were to allow gay marriage, then what purpose would marriage serve in the first place? I would support civil unions, but not marriage.
That scares me. Imagine what NOM put out to originally get Prop 8 passed. Thank you for sharing this. Getting people to see this just may help others to understand why Prop 8 needed to be overturned and exactly what type of tactics NOM uses.
Or I guess not some people. But I’m hoping this reaches someone.
I heard that Peter Paul and Mary asked the NOM not use their “wedding song” while campaigning. Wonder if they complied…
Oh my goodness. What filth. It’s so funny how people can twist other’s words around SO heinously. Some people.
And people who support civil unions and NOT gay marriages confuse me. A Civil Union is just a different name for it, only we get screwed out of SOOOO many benefits that “marriage” provides.
I don’t care what they call it, as long as I get the same benefits.
@pb49r - You do realize that Walker has in no way confirmed that he is gay? That there is no source for that claim? Try looking it up. The newspapers and news commentators who talk about it have no source to back it up.
