Texting While Driving
Nine of ten Americans (89 percent) believe that texting messages or emailing while driving is dangerous and distracting and should even be banned, furthermore, 91% compare the jeopardy it implies to that of driving after one has had a couple of drinks. What is astonishing is that two in three drivers (66 percent) admit reading text messages or emails while behind the wheel and also 57 percent admitted to sending text messages or emails while driving.
Do you text and Drive? Do these videos make you think?

My state actually does have a ban on texting and driving. I’ll admit that I’ve done it. It doesn’t happen very often and I only do it when I’m sitting at a red light or something, but I know it’s still a dangerous habit I need to break.
use to do it occasionallly. then, my step-cousin killed herself and another girl because of it. obvious to state that i dont do it anymore.
I have read a text on occasion but I haven’t done it in a long time. Reading or sending a text is never important enough to attempt while driving.
I don’t text while driving. I barely even answer a call while driving. They’ve placed a cell phone use ban while driving in my state, but still, some people don’t heed to this law.
If I do, it’s at a red light, and it’s once in a blue moon when I REALLY need to know something (like directions)
I’ve read two text messages while driving and the vehicle was in motion, both times on the open interstate with no other vehicles near. The rest of the time my wife reads them for me, or we ignore them. I’ve never sent a text while driving, not even when stopped at a traffic signal — if it’s that important I’ll pull over where it’s safe to text/talk. It’s not just worth the risk to myself, my passengers, or others on the road.
A guy in Las Vegas, right around the corner from where we lived, hit the back of a parked transit bus because he was texting while driving. Impact speed was 60MPH — he was also speeding, and never touched the brakes. His two year old daughter went through the windshield and hit the back of the bus. We don’t know if she lived. Rumor has it that he was texting his wife, the girl’s mother, and they were less than half a mile from home.
No I don’t. It’s illegal in Israel, like in all countries with a little common sense.
I don’t. I have a couple friends who text when at a red light but that’s it. I used to have a friend who texted while driving and it was so scary to ride with him. Several times the passenger would have to grab the wheel because he just couldn’t control the car while he was texting. I don’t ever want to ride with someone who texts while driving again.
texting and driving is kinda like drinking and driving; everybody knows its wrong and EVERYBODY ELSE but themselves should not be doing it, but its okay if they do it themselves because they are such good drivers that they are the exception to the rule and can text and drive.
Never done it. And I think it’s ridiculous that ANYONE does. What makes you think you’re so much more coordinated than everyone else that you can handle it? Too many accidents.
