I wish that you could get these around here
ADDED Question: Would you wear something like this?
I have found online some pictures of beautiful outfits that I wish were available in stores around my area right now they can only be gotten online if you live in this area.
The style is called Shalwar Kameez.
It has elasticized baggy trousers (Shalwar), a dress-length loose shirt (Kameez) and a long scarf (Dupatta) which can be draped in several ways.
To those of you who asked about pictures.......
I will take pictures of me when I am finally able to get some of these. I don't know how long it will be before I am finally able to get some but when I do, I will share pictures.

The black and blue ones are gorgeous!
Do you own a sewing machine? I think the McCalls patterns have styles similar to these. Then you could pick the most goreous fabrics in shades perfect for your coloring.
Also, I've seen similar outfits on ebay.
The black one is beautiful! And I like the first maroonish one too!

Ebay has a large quanity of this clothing for good prices!!! You are right they are beautiful I have owned some in the past!

do you know of an indian and/or pakistani community near your neighborhood? if not, then just go upto nyc to Jackson Heights (in Queens, New York i believe) and there you'll find Little India where you can shop for as many shalwar kameez you like.
One thing to be cautious of is the fact that many a times the store owners like to take advantage of people who they feel don't know what they're doing. So just do a little research, perhaps take an Indian or Pakistani friend along. If you don't know any indian or pakistani people, then just feel free to ask one of us here that you'll find on xanga!

@Kristenmomof3 - Easy Peasy. Always look at the sellers ratings tho' and what people/customers say about them. They really are beautiful, you have inspired me, I have found a heap I would love when hubby gets work.
