Grandpa was taken to the hospital this morning because some of his functions are not functioning. Please keep him in your prayers. I will try to update as I get more information. Turns out he had been having issues since lunch time yesterday but had not told anyone until this morning.

Update 12:30 7/6: He is in the hospital and they have him on oxygen. Not sure what else is being do...will update when I know more. Continue to pray.
Update 1:30pm 7/6: His kidneys are not working. They do not know yet why they are not working.
Update 5pm 7/6: He has finally been moved from Emergency to an Intermediate care room. Waiting to hear from the specialist.
Update 8pm 7/6: He is settled into his room. The specialist came to see him. She talked about how important it was that he came when he did and what could have happened if he hadn't. He is still on oxygen. He was able to pass water (releave himself...whatever you want to call it) once since being at the hospital. That is a blessing since he hadn't been able to since yesterday lunchtime. They said the the med he was taking for gout is hard on the heart and kidneys. Thank you to those who are praying. Update 9:40pm 7/6: Well, I know I will be tired tomorrow...no rest for the weary.... They are happy that he has passed some water. They are hopping to get him to be able to pass it all himself. (They said they could drain it but it would just fill up again...it is best if they can get him to be able to pass it) His tummy is all hard with fluid. There is concern though also with the fact that there was blood in what he was able to pass. There is some thought that this will be a long stay in the hospital. Thank you to those who are praying. Update 9:15am 7/7: No real updates at the moment. Grandma will be going in to be with Grandpa this morning until maybe 2pm. He is still in Intermediate care.
Update 11:15am 7/7: He has a lot of tests today. This morning they took fluid out of his lungs. They were really happy with what they got out (Whatever that is supposed to mean). Grandma says that his color looks good...that is really good. His color looks a lot better then it did yesterday.
Update 1pm 7/7: When they took the fluid out of his lungs they accidentally made a small rip...so they need to put a tube in his side.
Update 6pm 7/7: Wayne Martin is in the ICU (Intensive care Unit) Has been since they had to put the tube in his side because they made his lung collapse because of the small rip they caused.
They do not know what is causing his kidneys not to work. They thought that it was probably a weak heart...but the echo-cardiogram showed that he has a strong heart. So we are no better off then we were when he went into the hospital. The way I look at it we may even be worse because he didn't have a collapse lung to go with it before they messed that up.
Please keep him in your prayers. Spread it to your prayer lists etc.

Uh-oh. I hope all is well. Isn't he on pain meds? Those can sometimes cause difficulty urinating.

@radicalramblings - no pain meds....diabetis meds, and antibiotics and a water pill.
Neither functions (Bowels or urination) is working since yesterday but he didn't tell any of us until this morning.
@Kristenmomof3 - Keeping him in my prayers. Please update us when you can.

Father God, please give your wisdom to his doctors to know why the kidneys are not working, and what needs to be done for them.

Dear Lord we pray for function to return to his kidneys and allow the doctors to understand what caused this problem and take mesures to correct the chance of it's return.We know Father you care for your children and ask for this healing in Jesus!

Go Wayne's kidneys! If you get an opoportunity to speak with him, give him a pat on the back for me and tell him I said "Way to go!" Tell him to keep going too! BTW, how is Grandma? Please let her know that I've been praying for her too.
