I know
I know some of you are enjoying my daily (sometimes more then one a day) studies in the bible I am doing the past little bit.
I am enjoying it too. It seems all I want to do right now whenever I have any little bit of time is to sit down with the Word of God. I just have an unquenchable thirst for the word of the Lord. I just want to read and read and read.
Questions for you:
Have you ever had times like that when all you really want to do is sit and read the word and read and read? How much time do you normally spend in the word each day? each week? How do you do your devotions? Do you use a book? or a Verse by verse reading and studying of God’s word? Why do you use the method you use?
Have you ever done the read the bible in a year?
How many times have you read the whole bible?

I’re read the Bible through 4 times now. Each time, I see things I’d never seen before. I don’t spend nearly as much time reading it daily as I should. I use the Sword of The Lord reading plan, approximately 3 chapters a day will get you through it in a year.
I’ve read the bible five times, cover to cover, in my lifetime. I found it to be an amazing read. When I was younger and in youth group, I think it took us about two years to get through the whole thing; though Bible Camp made it incredibly fun for our preteen/teen group. We won every year’s competition (knowledge, reciting and whole book memorization), and it was inspiring.
Believe it or not, I still have a copy.
I think this will be my 5th time through the Bible (this year). I have used the Good News Publishers reading guide as well as the Bible reading guide from http://www.teachinghome.com . Sometimes I get behind on my schedule and I have to remind myself that it is to feed my spirit instead of just accomplishing a goal. If you are feeling like soaking up the Lord’s word like you are, just keep at it! God must be giving you a wonderful period of growth! Every time I have read through the Bible, I find new insights. The more I have learned, it seems like the less I know however…the more I realize my need for Him in my life. I also like devotionals- inductive studies, etc.
Hi…I hope you don’t mind me commenting. I’ve read the Bible through three times now. Each time I am blessed to learn something new. I try to get into the Word at least twice a day, and I like to take a book of the Bible and go through it verse by verse. Sometimes I can get lost reading for hours. I also have devotionals I read. Because by Greg Laurie is one of my favorites.
Have a blessed night!

I have had periods of time where I could sit read and study all day, I love those seasons.
Go with what the Lord is directing you too at this time.
Your blog is for you after all.
