Revelation 6:9-11
Revelation 6:9-11 KJV And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: (10) And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? (11) And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Fifth seal
As the fifth seal is opened we see those who have been put to death for their faith in Jesus Christ crying out to the Lord and asking the Lord how long this persecution, the death of God’s people is going to go on before He judges them.
These are people who, after the rapture, have refused to bow to the antichrist, take the monetary system, and world religion.
Some say, well when I see war break out and the church taken then I will get saved. Well, you are not promised tomorrow. You could die today.
Even if the Rapture occurs before the Tribulation (the view I hold), there’s no guarantee that we won’t ever experience persecution in the United States before the Rapture.I don’t want to sound “alarmist” or anything, but after the suicides in San Diego, the president came out with a statement saying that we must never allow this sort of thing to happen again.
That sounds a little scary to me, as if the government might want to keep an eye on the “cults”.
According to some definitions of a “cult” in Washington, it’s a person who believes the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God, and who believes that Jesus Christ is actually going to come back.
That sounds like us!
What will you do when persecution comes (and if we should still be here)?
Jesus said:
Matthew 13:20-21 KJV But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; {21} Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. Are you allowing God’s Word to go “deep” into your life?
Do you have any “depth” as a Christian, or are you a shallow person?
If you were put on trial today for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

Those are some tough questions. I believe I know the answers. But then again so did Peter.
The persecution of believers is already here, and has been for some time. There’s not a question of “when it comes.”
@musicmom60 - that is true for many countries like North Korea, India, and China. Most Americans have no clue thought when it comes to persecution.
Great post! I allow God’s Word to go deep into my life. I do my best to stand firm in my faith. God bless!
