  • Could use the prayers of my friends

Please pray. Barry (my husband) was informed today that starting next week until further
notice…They will only be working 32 hours a week.
That is about $1,000 a month take home pay total for a family of
    five.
Please keep us in your prayers.

I am on the verge of an anxiety attack so any prayers would be a big blessing.

    Thank you for the prayers.

    Leaning on God,
    Kristen

  • I share your pain, friend. I wish sometimes my friends would pray for me, but they do not, and the reason why is beyond me, after all I do for them. But I’ll keep you in mind. Peace to you.

  • @Papillon_Mom - Just pray hard. My anxiety isn’t doing to well tonight. When you hear bad news like this the first thing you tend to think of is all the stuff you need done like the children are due for their dental check ups but I will have to push that off until who knows when.

And all that type of stuff.

So just trying to stay calm and rely on God. So all prayers help

  • @Kristenmomof3 - So from what I saw they make products for new construction?

I will be Praying & I understand, we have 6 & we have lived around that amount for a long time until recently. I will also be praying he receives some kind of promotion so his pay will go up.

  • Prayers are going up. Remember Jesus prayed for His followers and all those who would believe in Him through their words. Well that is you and me. He is still interceding on our behalf. Thought a rose might help cheer you up.

  • Praying for you tonight!

  • I am praying for you as well. I know so many people in the same situation, and we are not far behind. I DO know how it feels! If I find some great deals, samples, whatever, that could help your family,I’ll be sure to send the information your way first. God is greater than situations!

  • Dear Lord, Be with this family and help them to know you are with them and know all about their situation. You said you wouldn’t put on us more than we can handle and we’re looking for you to step in and help them through this. In Jesus Name, Amen.

  • Prayers said!!

  • Praying that you will be comforted. The Lord WILL provide for you. He is faithful!

  • I’ll pray.  And just rest in Abba’s arms–He is able to stretch a paycheck beyond anything you can possibly believe.  I have some amazing experiences in that area–times when we knew we didn’t have the money to pay a bill, and then suddenly…we did!  there are several times when I honestly don’t know how He did it, but He has never failed us.  Rest in Him!  ((hugs!))

  • I’m praying for you, Kristen. That God will provide all you need and give you peace.

  • Praying for you.

  • Praying for you.  You’ll be alright.

  • I am sorry to read this…I will pray. I pray that you will be able to budget and stretch all that you need to.

Here are some ideas…as we are a family of five(at home) and live on that in take home…
    oatmeal for breakfast
ramen noodles and pb  and honey sandwich on bread you make…
dinner have a casserole two nights, stew two nights, spaghetti two nights, and then have turkey(79 cents a pound)…and the turkey will be left over s you can make  4 casseroles minimum…we actually salvage 6 meals from  a ten pound turkey.

I serve rice and beans often(combined they provide much protein)…spanish rice and refried beans, kidney beans and white rice…on and on…I know this seems hard, but you can do it…I have teens.

We do not drink milk(except if I make powdered milk-which I use in baking)…next spring we will have goats milk…yay.

For the upcoming holidays…we use a humble mesquite tree(branch)and make decorations, and the fervor and excitement is in the crafting and baking and singing, and visiting, not in the presents.

we also removed light bulbs from most of the fixtures as to conserve electricity, plus we use only wood stove heat.

we have 3 outfits(perhaps you need 5 tops for the boys as yours attend public school)that I rotate…and I hand wash the laundry(using only 7 gallons of water per load instead of 60)…we do have church outfit and nice outfit to wear if we go intown..

we enjoy the computer as our luxury, and do not buy any fast food, or prepared foods at all.

Well forgive me for running on…I pray that things calm down for you, but I feel pressed to share with you that you and your family should adapt and tighten an prepare.

Perhaps he could get a part time job?

    Praying for you here.

I am sure you are looking forward to those goats.

    God bless

  • Hi Kristen,

I took 2 weeks off on the blogs and I am just getting back into reading them.  I am so sorry to hear the news.  I will certainly keep you and your family in our prayers.  That has to be so hard on you emotionally.  Hand in there and if you need to chat please feel free to email me.

    Christine
