  • Pray for Barry — Update

Pray for Barry (my husband). He went and got himself sick with what I got. He is starting to feel it today (I feel a lot better today, still a bit sick but a lot better.) I was pretty sick for 3 days when I got it. (fever, didn’t want to move, didn’t want to eat, etc…sick) He has to go to work tomorrow. They aren’t allowed to call off as this week Monday through Wednesday is Inventory and they are required to be there. They aren’t allowed to call off. So please pray that he feels better by tomorrow Morning as he has no choice but go to work.

    Thank you.

(I don’t normally ask for people to recommend my posts but could you please recommend this to your friends so that more people are praying. Thank you)

    God bless you all.

  • yuck, mandatory attendance.  Yes, I’ll pray for Barry

  • Just curious… why do you have the star of David all over your site when you’re a Christian?

  • @confused - The Jews are God’s chosen people. HE still cares very deeply for them.  We are the bride but the Jews are still the chosen people. God loves them and wants them to come to Him.

We are told to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. True peace will not come to Jerusalem until Jesus rules in the 1,000 year reign of Christ. But we are to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.

Originally, the Hebrew name Magen David — literally “Shield of David” — poetically referred to God. It acknowledges that King David, did not win by his own might, but by the support of the Almighty.

  • I will be praying, there are a bunch of folks down here that are sick too, I missed church today due to my lil one having croupe and asthma problems.  We are going to curl up and read a book in a few.

  • Praying for an immediate and complete healing in Barry.

  • Definitely praying for your husband, you for a total healing. Keep us updated k?

  • So sorry that you are experiencing sickness during this Christmas season! Yes, I will pray for your husband and family.

  • My hubby is in bed with it right now.

He is a contractor, no work = no pay.

Let us pray for each other.

  • Does he have to work a full day today or can he come home early?

  • @Hecalmsthestorm - he has to work the full day, unless they would send him home sick which would only happen by a miracle of God

  • Prayers are yours. Ugh, my husband had a job with an employer like that. I do hope they send him home early, or finished the inventory super fast and allow him sick time off. Can’t he get a medical reprieve from a doctor?

Prayers and more. Be well,Nancy Louise

  • @NanLou4 - not inventory week. They were told they had to be in the hospital or dead to not come in this week.

  • …and unless your husband is like me with a compromised immune system (fever = hospitalization), 101 does not a hospital visit make. Sigh, so unfair. I will pray for his strength and health.

  • Praying for Barry…

  • Oh, bless his heart!  I can’t believe he’s working with that fever.  Does he not get any sick time?

  • @Papillon_Mom - sick time??? NO..
He gets 2 weeks vacation time because he has been working there for over 3 years, but there are very strict rules about when that can be taken. Normally you put in at the beginning of the year what weeks you would like to take vacation in the coming year.

Inventory is not one of those times that anyone can take it. It is mandatory attendancy

  • I will pray for Barry’s swift return to health.

What a lovely family picture, by the way.

  • Employers can be so cruel! I have a feeling that they will have to stand before the Lord one day, for how they have treated Barry and others.Nobody mistreats G-d’s kids and gets away with it for long!

I will pray for Barry! More soup for the family!

  • poor guy!!! sounds like we have the same thing over here. my best remedy is lots of homemade chicken soup, double doses of vitamin c for 3-6 days and humidifier. when you really need it motrin and sudafed.
