i am not trying to argue, so don’t take it as that. but doesn’t the Bible talk about not adorning the outward appearance? some of those are pretty flashy. if i were to ask my conservative mennonite grandmother if she thought they were modest, she would probably say that they sure cover everything up, but they are a little to eye catching. i’m not sure a person is really being modest if they are covering everything up, but still trying to catch the eye of someone. just a thought.
@sarahfus - I think runways are always flashy weither they are modest or showing a lot of skin. The stuff that actually comes out to buy is always toned down from what walks the runway.
Do you think my clothes is too flashy?
Can’t say they are my style. I’m all about being modest, but not into total covering of the body.
@Kristenmomof3 - that’s true. stuff that comes out is never as over the top as what’s on the runway, unless you are buying directly from the designer. the only clothes i see you in are the ones that you post and i’ve never seen you in all those ruffles and i’ve never seen you wearing a bunch of jewelry, or clothes that have stones/pearls/etc sewn on to them. so from what i’ve seen, no i don’t think you wear flashy clothes. i think you like very pretty patterns and to be covered up. but really, i guess, you shouldn’t be concerned with what i think it’s all about what you think and know God is telling you. and i know you are doing just that.
Well, I do really like the second one at the top (the green and white outfit). That is really pretty. I wouldn’t wear any of the others, though.
@sarahfus - thanks Some of mine are brightish (I guess I made up that word as my thing says it is spelled wrong) (like my plain green one) but I consider them very modest. Nope I am not big on jewels and stuff like that. I am a very “basic” girl
some of those are absolutely beautiful …but a couple are a bit too gaudy for my comfort-I love the green one and the blue one tho. Some of the ones in the middle picture where the ladies are all lined up under the sign look very pretty.
@Kristenmomof3 - there is a difference between bright and flashy. in my opinion. i can’t really tell you what i think the difference is, but there is one! )
truth be told, i would so wear the black and white one without the head covering!
@sarahfus - LOL…and I would wear it with the headcovering Truth be told….I would be most comfortable in my clothes I wear now and with a Nijab.
That is how I would be most comfortable.
I would definitely take elements of those outfits and pair it with the modest items in my closet. I really like the black and white one – that would look so neat with a pair of business slacks for the office!!
Gorgeous =]
I don’t like following “fashion walks” as they tend to try to play up on pride and to be ‘in’ group. Such tend to encourage the attitude of ‘keeping up with Joneses’. I prefer to browse through fabric store, such as JoAnn Fabrics, and pick what I consider plain & modest enough and like. My tastes run in lines of no extra embellishments, quiet/gentle prints, solid colors, and mostly same all over.
I think those clothes would probably be way too expensive for me. They’re pretty though.
Gorgeous? Yes. Practical for being a mommy? NO. Eye-catching? Some of them. I probably wouldn’t wear those fancy ones. But I don’t go as far as some Mennonites might and say that you have to wear plain, solid color everything. I like beauty.
@Adrienne_Spenrath - There are beauty in certain type of fabrics. Some solid fabrics can be quite expensive!! Beauty is in eye of beholder. My clothes are mostly solid colors by choice (less details to be concerned about). Likely that these models doesn’t breastfeed! From what I see in these photos, I see nothing in their clothing that could prevent them from being a good mama. Unless you are thinking of atheletic aspect?
The black and gold one near the top is beautiful.
nope.
maybe something inspired by that kinds stuff… but not that. WAY too fancy schmancy. and way too expensive looking. I’m a simple person.
These are very beautiful. I especially love the blue one.
I personally like the third one.
Also, I would just like to say that after briefly looking over your page I like you. I love the rule that you have at the top and you seem to be very proud of your religious beliefs. Although I do not share the same religious beliefs, I respect you and what you stand for.

@Hecalmsthestorm - you better not hahaha!!!
@Hecalmsthestorm - my favorite is the second to last picture.
@Kristenmomof3 - I have to agree with you on that one!
