Prayer request — Grandfather
Please keep my grandfather (Wayne Martin) in your prayers. He has diabetes and has these sores (Ulcer type things) on his legs. Being a diabetic healing is not an easy thing. He has had these for awhile and they gave a special medicated wrap for his legs and the wrap is really bothering him and his leg smells like it is rotting.
Please keep him in your prayers. Prayers for health and healing. Thank you
(Please pass this on to anyone that will pray for him.)

I am praying for you and your grandfather.
poor guy =/ healing is tough with diabetes. gosh. will definitely pray for him.
maybe there is some kind of poultice that might help. or maybe honey or tea bags or cucumber slices, epson salt/bath.
Hon, if his leg smells like it is rotting, he needs to see his dr. ASAP or the emergency room if the dr. isn’t available; it could be the beginning of gangrene.
Let me second that if it smells of rot it is very dangerous.
And praying for him I am
praying and yes please get him into a drs

I would love for him to go to the Dr. The problem with Grandpa is he only goes to the dr when He feels like it.
I am pushing for him to go to the dr and trying to get the rest of the family to also so that he will understand and agree to go.
@Kristenmomof3 - Does he understand that gangrene will cause him to lose his leg – and possibly his life – if it isn’t treated promptly? It isn’t something to mess around with – especially if you have diabetes. Show him some of these pics if he doesn’t understand how serious it is (graphic images of real cases of advanced gangrene) (copy & paste, I am not making it a link that can be accidentally clicked) http://images.google.com/images?q=gangrene&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi
Will do!
Absolutely!
Praying. *hugs* What’s with Martin men not wanting to go to Drs? Don’t even get me started! I’m convinced we are related now.
Hey Kristen I would like to leave my blog ring to you. “for to me, to live is Christ, to die is gain” I would like to make you the new leader. Is that ok with you?
@Mighty_Men_of_Valor - That is fine.
Blessings Brother. See you on Facebook
many prayers for your grandfather.
I hope he has a speedy recovery, inshaAllaah!
@teeraljannah - ameen. (amen)
Get him a bottle of bee propolis from the nearest pharmacy available in your area. It may help him with his problem with diabetes and ulcer, God willing. He will be in our prayer.
we’re praying here!
Praying, Kristen. I remember how hard it was to watch my grandfather go through that.

@radicalramblings - i agree. this is unfortunately a very serious thing. =/
@Kristenmomof3 - please let us know how things are going when you are able. praying he gets the help he needs, for healing and for guidance and strength, extra support, peace, comfort and encouragement for you in caring for so many people.
Prayers are being said. Hugs!
In addition to prayer: I have a friend who treated her husbands bad legs (from diabetes) with Clary Sage essential oil – a few drops in an ounce of olive oil and she would rub it in daily. I don’t know if he actually had sores, but my husband saw the guy’s legs before the treatment and said they were almost black. Within a week or two of her treatments they were looking way, way better and look normal, now.
