Who Am I?
Featured_Grownups asked the questions
Tell us about you.
Or
Who Am I?So here is my attempt. I hope you enjoy.
I am a Wife and a Mother of Three
I was raised by my grandparents.
I love hiking
I believe in YHWH, and that He is all-powerful, omni-present, eternal, exists outside of creation, and is infinitely significant and benevolent.
I believe in the Shema. Shema Means ‘hear’ and is the quintessential Jewish text from Dvarim/Deuteronomy 6:4.: Shema Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad. (Hear, O Israel: The L-RD our G-d is one L-RD) showing the uniqueness of the G-d of Israel. Israel didn’t require many gods (like harvest gods, fertility gods, fire gods) The G-d of Israel is unique and infinite — He alone is sovereign.
I believe in Yeshua Hammashiach (Jesus the Messiah). I accept Yeshua as “the Torah (Word) made flesh” (John 1:14), and believe He is YHWH.
I believe that the Children of Israel were, remain, and will continue to be the chosen people of the G-d of Jacob, and are central to his plans for existence.
I believe The Tanakh (Old Testament) and B’rit Hadashah (New Testament) are the established and divinely inspired Biblical scriptures
I believe YHWH and His Word are eternal, that is: He, His Word and His Will has always, and will always, be the same. Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8, Matthew 5:18; 24:35.
I believe women should veil their headsI believe in modesty
Observe the weekly Shabbat (Sabbath), starting at sundown on Friday night. The Shabbat [Sabbath], the seventh day of the week, is the created holy day of HaShem (G-D), which He gave to mankind and covenanted with His people as a sign forever. Exodus 31:16, Genesis 2:2-3, Isaiah 58:13-14, Matthew 12:8. By resting on the seventh day, we acknowledge that we do not own our world. Our world is HaShem’s domain. This is a day for looking at what HaShem has created and lent to us for our enjoyment. By setting aside one day for Shabbat, we also proclaim our freedom from daily obligations, commitments, worries and concerns. We declare that one day of the week is for our own rejuvenation.
Days begin at sunset, because in the story of creation in Genesis Ch. 1, you will notice that it says, “And there was evening, and there was morning, one day.” From this, we infer that a day begins with evening, that is, sunset.
I believe in the literal 6 day Creation by YHWH.
Shalom uv’racha

I have never heard that. That’s really interesting. That makes so much sense as to why the Jews start sabbath on Friday at sundown. Thanks for teaching me something new!

Your blue outfit is really pretty!
@LostInTheLyrics - thank you
@Kristenmomof3 - I do have a question, just out of curiosity- does it ever get hot wearing those? Or do they breath really well?
@LostInTheLyrics - I would actually say that it is actually cooler then wearing shorts and a tanktop. The sun isn’t beating down on your skin and you actually stay cooler then you do when you show more skin. Some people think I must great really really hot, but i dont
@Kristenmomof3 - That makes sense. They are really pretty! Do you have a favorite color you like to wear?
I, too, agree with modesty, although I do not veil. I went to a wedding rehearsal last Friday and was late because as I was leaving I relaized I was wearing shorts….I have this thing about my knees cannot be seen in Church.
My daughter, who will be 4 in Sept, went to rehearsal with me. We had a wonderful conversation about G-d and where He lives.
I do need some advise though–how do I teach my child to walk with the Lord when my husband is an atheist? My husband is a very good man, strong values of respect, honesty, kindness, loving, hard worker, devoted family man. He believes when you die, you’re dead–that there is nothing after this. ( This saddens me—as I know how the Lord has comforted me during dark times, and I pray the Lord will move his heart, but….) Any suggestions? I am going to write a post about it, so if you and other readers of your blog have any suggestions, I would LOVE to hear them.
Thank you!! and I am SO glad I found your blog!!

@LostInTheLyrics - it used to be blue, but recently my husband has gotten me some orange ones that he really loves…so now it is those orange ones
You give great expression to your individuality…well done!
