crayon cookies
Assalamu alaikum / Shalom
Today I did something because someone else said about it and I just had to do it too.
We started by peeling the paper wrappers off of all the broken crayon bits.
We pre-heated an oven to 300 degrees and popped in our tray.
After about 5 minutes they are melted and I pull them out of the oven
I let them cool on the stove top for about 10 minutes and then pop them in the freezer for 15 minutes
After that they just pop out of the tray
Have you ever done this?

No but it looks like fun.
Sounds like a great idea! I’ll have to try this with the kids!
Those are so fun looking!
I haven’t done it, but always planned on it…
That is pretty cool. That would also be an easy way to make candles! (That is what we used to do with our old crayons.)
I did that when I was a kid! I love those, they’re so much fun!

Never heard of this, but what a great recycling idea! Those bits always just end up a waste and now you can continue to use them.

no i’ve never done this, but in my kindergarden class thats how a lot of our “old” crayons were!!!!
totally brought back my childhood hehehe
Pretty!!!
oh, pretty. Could see how adults could use it for art, candles, etc.
No, but I once left a box of crayons on a hot radiator when I was a kid. Don’t know which made my Mom angrier… that, or when I used cookies for crayons (on the wall giggle snort)
@AOK4WAY - LOL
Is it bad that I’m a sophomore in college and I really want to do this but am sad because I don’t have crayons?
No. Why would I?

Nope… I’ve never done that but it looks like fun!!
We just made these yesterday!!
My Mom did this for me when I was little. I haven’t done it, personally though. It’s a pretty cool idea!
How about kool aid playdough, though? Gosh I miss that. It smells so awesome AND yummy…I always wanted to eat it when I was small.
Wow, that’s so creative. ^_^ I’m going to try that, my family has huge bags of crayons that no one has used for years.
