I am going to start trying to teach myself a good old skill….Knitting!!!
If I can learn this good then I can make stuff for our family and even stuff to sell. It would be a great skill to know.
Do you know how to Knit?
Do you have any good advice for me?

You go girl,I have no advice,I sew but do not knit…I can nit-pick well enough!
I knit. The best advice I can give you is to pick yarn and needles that feel good on your hands, because you’ll be spending a lot of quality time with them. Start with small projects (they get done quicker), and see if you have a friend or relative in the area to help you get started. If you haven’t done much for crafting, the motions will feel strange at first. You’ll get used to it. If you have any other questions, let me know … I’m not sure I can help you with stitch formation, because I’m only good at showing people when I’m with them.

I’ve never seem this movie (background). And I don’t know how to knit. I do crochet afghans and scarves though. Cool! I look forward up seeing some of your work.Ohh contact michele princessministries sometime. She has knit some lovely purses and bags!
seen* to* sorry for the typos. I’m still using 1 finger 2type and this thin self corrects when I font want it to LOL
I used to knit flat projects (about easy intermediate level), until I had babies. Then I realized that they could pull out two hours of work in less than 10 mins if I was busy elsewhere, and I wanted them to live, lol. So, I focused on crochet more. I’ve made baby layettes, adult sweaters, teen shrugs, and many mucho blankets/afghans and even create some of my own designs – but all in crochet format. I really enjoy working with crochet a lot, though I know that knitting is still a very nice form and my babies are all grown and flown, now.
I think you’ll really enjoy building the skill!

@YouTOme - you need to see this movie!!!!
my advice is to watch someone in person knit… it’s a lot easier to learn in person then from a book. once you know the basics then you can do the book thing. there are also some great turtorials on the internet… and somewhere out there are some shows floating around called “knitty gritty”. it’s a great show to help you learn!
I wish I could knit! I’ve been trying to start practicing it but never really get a chance. Good luck and have fun!
P.S. I just saw your header. V for Vendetta is my all time favorite movie!
