We have a new addition to our family that I would like to share with everyone. I am going to share some pictures of our beautiful little girl with you. She was given to us and her name is Gadget.
Here she is……
Isn’t she such a cutie
I just love her already.
(I guess I should add…She is a Guinea Pig)

Aww that is precious! I don’t know why some people have a problem with rodents, I think they’re absolutely adorable. I’d have a hamster if my dorm allowed it.
Awww!! So cute!! We had one last year but she didn’t last too long. I’d like to get another one once we are settled in our own place again.
Please don’t use pine shavings in her cage. Her urine will react with the pine, and it could make her very sick over time. You can use a paper based bedding instead. I used to raise guinea pigs – had around 50 at one time!
is she a hamster? =) she cute! awww. i’m so happy for y’alls =)
@YouTOme - Guinea Pig
Oh she’s still so shy. And what a little cutie.
OOOOMGGGG!!!!! SO CUTE!!! Sam and I wanted to get one… we’ve been humming and hawing over it for a little while now… but after this I HAVE to get one =]
ha ha! My Maltese is a little bit bigger than she is. Sad, right?
Anywho, congrats on the new addition!!
awwww how sweet.
aawwww eyes are so big!
hehe, i just read your email a short while ago and you told me that there too. lol… p.s. i sent off a little card today, hopefuly you shall receive it tues or weds. =)
@YouTOme - thank you
How is Molly doing?
@Kristenmomof3 - thanks for asking, special K! =) hehhee i forgot that one. lol. well, i saw her for a bit today when i drove into chicago to drop off some cookies and supplies. she showed me where she walks and where she eats and has class, what bus she takes, etc. she’s had some disappointments w/ roommates but its making her seek God even more, and we’ve had some really good talks; much like old times except i dont have to tell her stuff as much. she may do an internship or get a job (whichever God decides) at a huge fabric store (yeah…she’s really psyched b/c they make fabric for donna karan, big fashion suppliers, as well as a lot of beautiful sari material…she’ll try to get us discounts ;D .). she’s getting excited to do more hands on projects and things, as well as I believe God has her exactly in this environment for a reason – to really shake things up! =)
@YouTOme - cool
@Kristenmomof3 - thank you! and, you’re a guinea now!! hahahaha tho, i want cartoon Kristen to make a comeback sometime. i miss her! =/ also cartoon Barry. those were great.
how’s the knitting going? my mom tells me its easy..but i get dizzy watching those two needles flying. she lost me at casting on/off. lol
@YouTOme - I have to start over….I was making it too tight
@Kristenmomof3 - ahhhhhh i’ve done that with crocheting…or make it too loose so that it looks like a holey blanket. lol =P
Aaaaaaaaawwwwwww !!! I love guinea pigs. We had one, Sasha who defied all the odds…lived EIGHT years!!! Such a fun little pet. Enjoy Gadget!!
Ruth Ann
i can’t wait to see what you’ve done…we’ll all want to see pictures! =)
aww, how neat!
What a cutie!
(P.S. Nice layout ;D I <3 V.)
Aww..she’s adorable!:)
Aww..she’s a beauty
Yay for rodents!! My own ratty Rufus is all personality, curiosity and loveliness (have pics up if you fancy a gander). And what a fantastic name – Gadget – love it! I’ve never had guinea pigs, but have heard that they’re pretty shy generally? Having said that, on my route into town I often encounter a bunch of about 8 guineas having a good ol’ social shindig on the lawn of a house that I pass (yes, they are in a ‘run’, not just loutishly yomping on some random bit of land!). They really don’t strike me as terribly shy! No doubt Gadget’ll make an excellent new addition to your family
.
She is a cutie. Is she nice? Or does she bite?
@letseewhatthiswilldo - She is very very nice. She does not bite at all.
So that’s what a guinea pig looks like.
Adorable!
Awwwww!!!!!! I had a guinea pig when I was five, I absolutely loved her. She will make a wonderful pet for your kids. Just don’t put her cage close to an outside wall. My guinea pig caught pneumonia that way and ended up dying. I would hate for that to happen to you and your kids!
OMG, she’s so adorable. I know I’ve had mine now about three years and he still surprises me sometimes with his emotions and reactions. But I agree with @CatToy86 on the shaving choice. I had my lil guy for about three months on the pine shavings and had to take him to the vet for an eye infection and it wasn’t fun. But I hope you have fun with lil Gadget and she gets to licking you to death like my lil guy.
