  • Say goodbye to your rights

In the dead of night on December 17, 2009, President Barack Hussein Obama placed the United States of America under the authority of the international police organization known as INTERPOL, granting the organization full immunity to operate within the United States.

INTERPOL now has the full authority to conduct investigations and other law enforcement activities on U.S. soil, with full immunity from U.S. laws such as the Freedom of Information Act and with complete independence from oversight from the FBI.

This is very dangerous. A complete violation of the US Constitution and our Bill of Rights.

A coup is underway in the United States of America, the goal of which is to establish complete, unquestioned authority over the citizens–a ‘fundamental change’ to the United States where citizens have no legal recourse against an authoritarian central government.

  • This is interesting to read and read further into.  The original executive order (by Ronald Reagan) was written at a time when terrorism was not considered a threat to American soil, yet the activities of the KGB and communist organizations throughout the world were.  At the time, Reagan felt that the US could use a “helping hand” so to speak to assist the FBI and other domestic police organizations to watch out for the red threat.

Times have changed.  Terrorism is now something that walks heavily on American soil, both from outside forces and from domestic terrorists as well.

Interpol is a police organization with a much better track record of stopping criminal activity before it gets going.  The activities of Interpol have been instrumental in keeping more terroristic activities from happening.

While it is simplistic to point fingers at President Obama and say that he has given over the Constitution for this executive order, the constitution was basically overthrown with the Patriot Act, specificially the Fourth Amendment (protection against unreasonable searches and seizures).  The Patriot Act allows for the government to snoop through our medical and banking records on the basis of “protecting” us from meth producers.  Ever wonder why you must sign your name to get certain cold medications, even if they are prescribed by your doctor?  The fine print in that little signature sheet spells out how, by signing the form, you grant the government permission to, in essence, throw out the fourth amendment to the Constitution and allow the government carte blanche to search through any record out there about you. All this on the basis of the fact that you have a cold. This was indeed one of the slickest moves ever made on our constitutional rights.

This executive order may be another step in losing our rights, but the march began long before this.  And when it started, there was only one lone voice crying out against it.  Republicians and Democrats both share in the stripping of our rights.  Our nation if fueled by paranoia.  This is the result.

  • It’s not really that surprising… First it’s told in prophecy that somethings like this WILL happen in the end times… But not only that but brokenbindings is rights… Terrorism and interpol go hand and hand together, and with us being a PRIME WESTERN target, it’s not surprising that Obama or anyone else would try to give us the best possible protection.

  • In the horrid times all I can say is God help us all.

  • @brokenbindings2 - I agree. I believe the ramifications of the patriot act are much more severe than our involvement with Interpol.  Its difficult to balance our freedoms and the protection of or freedoms.  We as law abiding citizens want to remain free, yet we also favor stopping terrorist activities. A difficult balance indeed.

  • I was reading about this on another Xangan’s site a couple days ago…  I know I should not be shocked but I am in a way.  This puts our men and women of the armed forces under the mercy of INTERPOL just for obeying their CIC…not to mention it opens the door wide for INTERPOL to abuse American citizens and completely override our Constitution.

I want Obama impeached for this.  He does not have the interests of his own people at heart.  He is a constitutional scholar – he cannot claim ignorance in this matter.  It is completely unconstitutional and he knows it.

  • @firetyger - If Obama is impeached, we end up with Biden as our president…is that really a better alternative?

  • The fact I have to show my license for a supermarket club card means they are keeping track of people.  You can’t visit a hotel or motel without showing your license.

  • @brokenbindings2@AnonymousXGrl - I agree. There is no question that we have had and probably will continue to have people on our own soil and of our own nationality posing as harmless citizens, but having connections with terrorist groups. Some of the very people who think Obama is taking away our rights are the same ones declaring that we need to “crack down” on the terrorists and annihilate them. How do you do that– round up all the “Muslim looking” people and make their lives miserable but let all the “good Americans” do whatever they want with no accountability?? That’s discrimination, plus it’s unsafe because there are American “terrorists” too. It seems we can’t have our cake and eat it, too– as with anything else in life. The American people need to decide what is most important to them- privacy or safety, since in this day and age, you can’t completely have both.

  • @sarahzthoughts - Biden is no better than Obama, that is true.  But that doesn’t mean we should just continue to allow violations of the law to go unpunished.
