Update on me and my pain and swelling
Well, as many of you know I was in a lot of pain the past few days. I woke up Tuesday at 4am and my one side of my face was huge, very very swollen.
I went to the dentist. I have a very bad infection/abscess. I am on antibiotics. On the 18th I need to go the Oral surgeon for a consult. My wisdom tooth and the tooth in front of it need to be cut out.
The dentist told me my infection is really really bad.

I hope all goes well. I know how it is to get teeth pulled. Hopefully they will give you some good pain killers.
@Dennis1979 - they wont be pulled. They need to be cut out
Ok, I understand, so they will have to stitch you up. I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 18.
OMG I hope you feel better! I’ve had the procedure too. I guess most of us do.
@Dennis1979 - eww…I didn’t even think about stitches….so not fun
@And_I_love - I am so not looking forward to it….but will be glad when all the swelling is out of my face…it feels like and over blown beach ball.

@YouTOme - Yep…and I thought going to the dentist terrified me….now I need to go to the Oral surgeon. The 18th for a consult and then I don’t know when for the actual procedure.
@Kristenmomof3 - yeah =/ please let me know as it approaches. you are in God’s hands though…somehow He will see you through it Kristen. I’m praying that somehow God will help your body to heal itself, much like what happened with Amy and Molly (and others, i’m sure). I know God doesn’t always act in that way, but praying still for your healing and relief from infection and pain. in Jesus’ name, amen.

I feel your pain. I had several infections like yours and had neglected to remove the wisdom tooth due to not having enough money to pay for surgery. Luckily my sister introduced me to her friend who is studying dentistry, and the college was in need of test subjects for demonstrative purposes, so I signed up and got a free surgery scheduled. That was last year. I can tell you that it was painful and the swelling won’t go away a few days after the surgery, but after a while it gets better and better and you will be relieved knowing that you won’t be suffering the infections ever again.

Yuck!! I had all four of my wisdom teeth cut out at once. It sucks. Please know my prayers are with you.
