Do I look butch to you?
Last time I posted photos of myself I had people talking about me behind my back and also sending me hate mail because I have short hair and look “butch” and as not dressed conservative enough.
Well here you go haters….

I don’t agree with labeling someone ‘Butch” because of their appearance, especially when the one mandatory pre-requisite for being “butch” doesn’t apply to you.
However, I also do not agree with antagonizing idiots. It serves no purpose really.
Does Barry like the way you look? That’s all that matters.
How do you know people talked about you “behind your back”?

@NightCometh - because it was brought up because one person was told to visit my xanga, by the people who were talking about me behind my back and that is how I learned about those cowards who love to talk about people behind their back

People talk. It’s a blog site. People discuss others…it happens. You gotta roll with the punches and act in love if you follow Christ. It often sucks, but that’s how it is. Sorry they hurt you.
And PS…I think a smile makes any woman look more feminine
@NightCometh - actually I am not talking behind their backs. I am saying it publically on my blog. They talked private back and forth and brought others in etc.

@Kristenmomof3 - I understood the reason for the post. I just want to encourage better from you. It’s not worth your time, nor is it worth ours, to rail against the feeble-minded or those of poor character.

Butch . . .thats just mean I am not going to tell you I like your hair cut (It looks real good from the front in my opinion) but no that has nothing to do with being butch
If I could get away with looking good with a short cut, I’d give it a go. You wear it well.

I live in hoodies/tshirts and athletic shorts a lot… lol. And if I could pull off short hair like that I’d love it!
@frozencherries - Obviously you know nothing of the true intimacy of marriage. It DOES matter that Barry likes the way she looks, and it’s not the least bit demeaning that she tries to please him, just as it wouldn’t be demeaning if he tries to please her. “The two are one flesh.”
But, I suppose I probably should have just ignored your comment. I guess I just don’t understand what it is that makes people think my leaving a comment to a friend on that friend’s site is an open invitation for them to tell me their opinion, or expect me to care about their opinion.

I have no idea what calling someone “butch” might mean… butcher keeps coming to mind but doubt thats it…

Too short for me Kristen, but then I’m older….. but also my last boss was a pretty redhead woman who said she only wore long hair because men liked it. She said she would cut it all off if it wasn’t for that. (don’t know whether to believe her). My wife goes back and forth between shorter and longer hair based on the summer vs winter, but never as short as yours.
You look like a person to me. A very nice-looking person. But you know, there are going to be people who will say yes. Don’t let them get to you. And those people talking behind your back were tacky for doing that.
People are all around ridiculous.
If Barry likes it, that really is all that matters. I think it is too short. So what? I don’t want my wife to wear her hair too short, but I found out that growing it out to satisfy my desire to see the long tresses was a problem for me, early in our marriage, so she does keep it short, but perky.

I like it just fine. My aunt wears her hair short like that, and apparently there are ladies in town that have actually copied her look. And as we all know, being copied is the best form of flattery.
I wish my wife had short hair. She costs me a fortune and the hair stylist each month. You look fine and I am 76. I would like my grand daughter to look like you.

No I do not think it make syou look butch. I think it is a very stylish, easy to take care of style and it looks very attractive on you. What I see when I look at you is not butch, but an attitude of strength and understanding of self, self confidence.

Don’t lesson to what other people say I had people say something mean to me or ask me if I am boy or girl or if I am dude or female or male I also have short hair too aswell If you ask me you look good for your age I am just saying that to mean I just saying to be nice

I can’t imagine why so many are angry when people reply with a honest answer. It has nothing to do with hating but with what appeals to them. You wanted to know if you looked “butch” and you supplied the difinition. If you and your husband like this look why would you care what others think about it?

A lot of people like to label women as such when they have short hair. Butch is really an attitude and not so much a look.
