you wont guess what I just did.
I just rescued 3 baby bunnies.
My cousin was mowing the yard and came across the nest. I looked up to see if the mommy would still take care of them if we moved them and then put them back. It said Rabbits dont care if you hold their young, they will still take care of them.
So I picked them up and held them until he was done mowing around there and then put them back.
Here they are….

They are cute. I found some in my yard one time a few years ago. I just hope those didn’t have a disease or something.
@agnophilo - well, actually….that is the sad news. There were 7 but 4 got smooshed before they were seen. So only 3 got rescued

Awww they are so cute. Too bad about the ones that didn’t make it. Be careful with holding them… mama rabbit can be one mean, scary critter when she finds out you have her babies (not that I would know from experience or anything…

this reminds me of my little brother’s graduation. some birds had made a nest on the tree in our front yard. it had fallen over. newborn baby birds, kinda gross-looking, were just sprawling around in the grass.
lol my mom wanted me to put them in a box XD unbelievable
i actually asked around what to do, googled stuff, and basically put them on a pan with dampened paper towels. later i got someone to take me to an animal center or something nearby.
it’s a rewarding feeling, but that’s not why we do it >_<

aww! que bonitas! When I was 9 we had 3 baby bunnies…we fed them milk out of eye droppers and let them listen to our heartbeats so they would calm down at night. Whatever you do, don’t let them loose in the house! lol

i have had an explosion of bunnies at my place. they are all over the place. i have not seen this many small ones before. hope yours continue to thrive
