The JW ought to concentrate on taking care of them selves and not bothering people who are eating dinner, you know.
We get them here too. They knocked on my basement apartment door a couple of months ago. It was kind of fun hiding from them until they went away.

The atheists are said to have rented a billboard near the Lincoln Tunnel somewhere and a whole bunch of people are making a big fuss about it but with this Fred Phelps guy and him acting like if he sticks his finger up his arse and makes people sniff it he’s a Christian so that makes it all right?

But please don’t make fun of the Mormons. I am one. And I was a once a missionary. We have a sincere message to give out. If you are not interested in the message just say so, but don’t mock us. You would not like me to mock any grouping that you might be in.
@TrainTrack - Good point. And I understand that completely. You gotta do what you gotta do. I just know that there’s no convincing me, and it’s not worth the missionaries’ time or mine to sit about discussing it.
Or at least they can come in and discuss it over tea. But not in the doorway.
@TrainTrack - to be completely honest I do not think it is right for any group to go door to door.
@Kristenmomof3 - It is how Jesus would do it. He would have us go forth unto all the world and be fishers of man. Just as it says in the bible. You don’t have to like or accept the message but please don’t mock us. Please?
mocking is a form of bullying and intimidation. you would not like gay people to be mocked. i know that. just ignore us
@TrainTrack - Jesus didn’t go door to door. He did walk the streets and preach and anyone could listen but He did not go door to door so don’t try to tell me that is how Jesus would do it when that is NOT how He did it.
We live on a base so we don’t have people coming to our door. I wouldn’t mind if they did, though. I would just tell them that I already have a church and to have a nice day. It’s only five minutes out of your day if you do that. Maybe I’m too laid back? Ha ha

@Kristenmomof3 - Well modern times call for modern measures. If that’s how Jesus did it way back when, then fine – how Mormons spread their message is the modern equivalent of that! It makes sense. What’s sad is how so many people will get all up in arms when Muslims and the rest are mocked in some way; mocking the way the followers of this faith try to live and spread their message isn’t the way to go if one is hoping for at least some understanding and tolerance of religion. Just tell them you don’t have time for them. That’s all.

But he was only one of the Apostles, and used of GOD to write much of the New Testement…. what did he know?
