  • UPDATED: Rest in Peace Melvin Kramer

    Melvin was Barry’s great-Uncle. He passed away January 18, 2011.

    Melvin E. Kramer, 90, formerly of Adamstown, Lancaster County, PA, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at 10:05 AM in Elm Terrace Gardens , Lansdale, Montgomery County , PA.  Born February 11, 1920, in East Cocalico Township ,  he was a son of the late Norman L. and Mabel (Wenrich) Kramer.  His wife of 62 years, Mildred E. (Sensenig) Kramer, died February 25, 2009.  A member and former councilman of St. Paul ’s Lutheran Church , Adamstown, he was a Navy veteran of WWII.  Melvin was a self-employed building contractor of custom homes until retirement.  In retirement he loved building furniture and gardening. Surviving is a daughter, Noreen E., wife of Philip Heisey, Harleysville; grandchildren: Yvette Haeberle, New Castle; Delyn Walker, Warriors Mark; and Joseph Mucerino, Douglasville; and great-grandchilren: Daniel, Ryan and William Haeberle, Victoria and Davis Walker.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Yvonne Mucerino; a sister, Minnie Beck, and brothers, Ivan, Lawrence & Harry. 

    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, at 2:00 PM from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with his pastor, The Rev. Sandra L. Gideon, officiating.  Interment with military honors in Swamp Cemetery , Reinholds.  A viewing will be held Saturday 1-2 PM.
