  • Born this way

Have you heard Gaga’s new song?

    Intro
It doesn’t matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
    Just put your paws up
’cause you were Born This Way, Baby

    Verse
My Mama told me when I was young
    We are all born stars
She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on
In the glass of her boudoir
“There’s nothing wrong with lovin’ who you are”
She said, “Cause he made you perfect, babe.”
“So hold your head up girl and you’ll go far,
Listen to me when I say”

    Chorus
    I’m beautiful in my way
    Cause God makes no mistakes
I’m on the right track baby
    I was born this way
    Don’t hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you’re set
I’m on the right track baby
    I was born this way

    Post-Chorus
Ooo there ain’t no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way
Ooo there ain’t no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way
Ooo there ain’t no other way
Baby I was born this way
I’m on the right track baby
    I was born this way

Don’t be a drag, just be a queen
Don’t be a drag, just be a queen
    Don’t be!

    Verse
    Give yourself prudence
    And love your friends
    Subway kid, rejoice your truth

In the religion of the insecure
I must be myself, respect my youth
A different lover is not a sin
Believe capital H-I-M (hey hey hey)
I love my life I love this record and
Mi amore vole fe yah (love needs faith)
    Repeat Chorus and Post-chorus

    Bridge
    Don’t be a drag, be a queen
    Whether you’re broke or evergreen
You’re black, white, beige chola descent
    You’re Lebanese, You’re Orient
    Whether life’s disabilities
Left you outcast, bullied or teased
    Rejoice and love yourself today
Cause baby you we’re born this way
No matter gay, straight, or bi
    Lesbian, transgendered life
I’m on the right track baby
    I was born to survive
No matter black, white or beige
    Chola or Orient made
I’m on the right track baby
I was born to be brave

    Repeat Chorus

    Outro/Refrain
I was born this way hey!
I was born this way hey!
I’m on the right track baby
I was born this way hey!

I was born this way hey!
I was born this way hey!
I’m on the right track baby
I was born this way hey!

  • I always knew I was born smart, handsome, Jewish and gay.

  • The way we’re born is the problem, not something to party over. We’re all born corrupted and under sin, and short of the image of God being renewed in us, we’re all lost. She’s singing her death song.

  • Those are great lyrics.  “Don’t be a drag, be a queen.”

  • @AOK4WAY - And this is why I am not a Christian anymore.

  • @gottobereal64 - You can believe that if you choose, but I don’t. I think there’s another reason you left.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. (1 John 2:15-19)

When the Light that came into the world is shone on the things we do, there are two things we can do. We can stop doing them knowing we’re busted and turn back to our Creator through his risen Son Yeshua, or we can scurry like roaches into a darker place. The battle isn’t over though, you’re still breathing so you’re still in it. Yeshua sees the end of all things because he is the maker of all things, and he knows what will become of you. I on the other hand don’t, so all I have for you is encouragement. Please take the time to reconsider, if for no other reason, so you can be sure you’re being honest with you.

    Peace.

  • i havent heard it yet. i couldnt watch it from here, but will try to see it on youtube later. i really like the lyrics so far though.

“ I was born to survive
No matter black, white or beige
Chola or Orient made, …No matter gay, straight, or bi
    Lesbian, transgendered life”

i love the sentiment behind this song -  i believe we are to love everybody as is now — i’m really weary of people trying to change others, treating them as unacceptable before loving them/accepting as God commanded in the here and now.

hahhaha. ML says i’m a chola. lol.  she tells her friends i’m more latina than she is. =P

  • auch dass noch! lol  =P

have a lovely day,  Kay- Kay (sorry i couldnt resist). ich liebe Dich/Euch alles

bin muede. gehe ins bett einmal.  werde mit Euch sprechen spaeter, wie Gott will.

  • We all are born in sin.  Sin has shaped us chemically, emotionally, physically and spiritually.  Everyone has a choice and free will.  Boys can be born that chemically leans them more emotionally.  Girls can be born that chemically leans them more masculantly.  Just because those traits are in a child doesn’t mean their sexuality has to follow suite.  We live in a society that wants to put labels on people.  If you are a certain way then you are …..    I believe everyone makes a choice who they are.

  • I think its wonderful that one of the most popular performers around is sending an inspiring message to be proud of who you are.

  • @Randy7777 - When did you choose to be straight?

  • @AnonymousXGrl - Got your point.  I chose to be right when I asked Jesus in my heart.

  • I think it’s beautiful :]

as a queer Christian, I approve.

  • To those who claim we are all born in sin… Uhm. You do know that the original sin teaching was first
introduced in the second century CE, right? A completely man made
    doctrine.

  • @hevcoh - For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. (Romans 7:14)

Clearly, Paul is not saying that sin was his choice. He says he was sold under sin, and he is using his own example to illustrate how we’re all sold under sin. He goes on to say that even though he tries to do good, he winds up doing evil. It’s his corrupted nature at work.

The heart of man is corrupted in it’s very nature, from earliest childhood.

… for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; … (Genesis 8:21)

That’s what salvation is all about. It’s a rescue. We’re all corrupt by nature because we’ve all been sold under sin. Yeshua came and paid the blood price to redeem all who will accept the gift. It’s free man, we don’t need to be good to accept it. We wouldn’t need it if we were already good!
