  • Are we heading for a global food crisis?

After months of searing heat and sparse rainfall farmland in the US is drying up. For weeks the US has been suffering its most extensive drought in half a century. And meteorologists expect the severe conditions to continue. What will the impact be on global food prices and is the existing global food market system flawed?

  • Yep. It has been pretty bad. Things are cooling down here a bit and we have gotten some rain finally/ things looking greener– we even have weeds again. But think we will still see losses, and definitely increAse pricing with dairy/ meat/poultry. Nearly everything processed has corn by products in it too, right, so those might increase too.
I didnt realize bacon had corn syrup in it also. Go figure.
We are all going to turn into corm cobs.
