Transgender Woman Sexually Assaulted In D.C.
D.C. police are currently searching for a man who robbed and sexually assaulted a transgender woman in the nation’s capital early Sunday morning.
The assault happened around 4:45 a.m., when a man approached the woman, hit her, and forced her at gunpoint behind a building on the 200 block of 51st St. Northeast, where he sexually assaulted her.
Initial reports do not indicate the victim was targeted because she is transgender, but this is the latest in a string of assaults on trans people in the nation’s capital.

This kind of an assault is totally unacceptable whether trans gender, gay, straight, etc. I think of a person is single out for any crime due to this it should be punished as a hate crime.
So much trans violence in the DC area.
Not sure if you saw this but the city is launching an awareness campaign.
