  • The Bloody Bible

    God is love.

    Or is he?

This show takes a hard and literal look at the contents of the bible, both Old Testament and New Testament, to reveal and discuss barbaric and bloody-bathed scripture verses most Christians aren’t even aware of.

  • It’s sad that atheists know books like the Bible and the Qur’an better than Christians and Muslims, respectively. It’s like there’s some sort of extreme intellectual dishonesty going on in the world of theology.

  • @secretbeerreporter - Part of it is also the fact that reading the bible is how many people become atheists to begin with.  But ideology always blinds people to the truth, whatever it is.  When the need to believe is the driving force reality gets tossed out the window entirely.  When a desire to understand is the driving force, reality, facts, evidence, science, logic, different points of view etc are a welcome guest.

  • I guess this is going to sound kind of wrong but I do not follow any religion, and do not have a name or label for what I believe.  I believe in Mama Earth and the Universe.  A few of the local church going, bible thumping Christians call me a heathen and pagan.  I do not fit int here or with any labeled religion, and I am not religious, I am a spiritual being having a human experience.

Anyway hope everyone had a fun Halloween and have a good rest of the week.

  • @secretbeerreporter - It is said that people are more ignorant of their own religion than any other.

  • I have noticed that the bible is very bloody. I find it somewhat odd that people point out that history was bloody. the bible is not just gods word, but it is also history of man. it was bloody. open any other history book, and you will find the same thing, war after war, people killing people. from all history we can learn. I also like how people say that history is bloody, but when you think about it, the present is also very bloody. maybe not in this culture, but in foreign countries there is violence happening everywhere. In some places we are still just as barbaric. The biggest difference is that we now have weapons that are harder to fight against.
