I was wondering, since we are very new to this area, and bored out of our minds, maybe you have some good ideas for family friendly/homeschool friendly activities? I told my husband about you living nearby and he said i should ask you about the area.
@HennyPenne - THere is the Ephrata Closter…..not sure what it costs but it is educational and really good.
There is also the Lancaster Mennonite historical society and they have a tabernacle reproduction.
Choo Choo barn – Lancaster County in miniature; 1700 sq. ft. train display features animated figures and 22 operating trains

Hands-on House Children’s Museum
National Toy Train Museum
We love to GO hiking in the summer….There is union canal, Cornwall furnace/Lebanon valley rails to trails, Middle creek wildlife area, Governor Dick
There is also Christmas at the cornwall house

That’s a good bit of snow. None here yet, except on the mountian tops, you know, 5,000 to 7,000 feet elevation or thereabouts.
Lancaster … Pennsylvania? The snow is so beautiful! It almost makes this TX dweller get in the holiday mood!
