It is exceeding difficult to say one is better than another, but a personal favorite? Probably the Gospel of John to pick a single book, or the writings of John collectively for a favorite group.
I love the Epistles. James, Titus and Timothy (both) are probably my favorites. Even when reading elsewhere, I am usually also reading one of those at the same time!
Oooooh. Hard one. Revelations maybe… Isaiah perhaps. And you gotta love the 4 Gs.
Book? Probably Romans… Revelation is becoming special… Section? Hmmm… Prophets, though I’ve studied them the least. That’s what I’m on now.
Daniel, Isaiah, or Revelation… don’t make me pick just one
I have to say my favorite book is probably proverbs. Short and sweet.
I’ve read the Bible through many times over the years and I love it all! As with the psalmist, I can say, “Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee.” Although I studied Hebrew for one semester over forty years ago, I prefer to use the straightforward English that I grew up with. So I say “Peace” instead of Shalom, and do not refer to the sections of the Bible by their Hebrew names. If I were to do that I think it would seem a bit artificial. However, if you are part of a Hebrew-Christian congregation, I’m sure that is a very natural thing to do.
No special favorite book, although I find myself meditating quite a bit in the Psalms!
God’s peace to you!
David/”The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not (be in) want.” (Psalm 23.1)
The whole of the Word of God is good for instruction, rebuke, edification, etcetera.
I find solice in reading his word, I find strength in His Word, I find increased faith as I meditate upon his Word and SEE the truth that His Holy Spirit reveals to me in His Word. The more I read, the more He reveals; the more He reveals, the more I grow; the more I grow, the more I reflect His image; and the more I reflect His image, the more I am.
I like the whole of the Word of God, for in the whole of his Word is truth, life and healing to my flesh.
If I HAD to choose but ONE part, I have to say, the letters in red, as they are the very words of my Lord and King.
Though I’m not Christian, I really enjoyed reading [some parts of!] Psalms…Oh, and Genesis was fun to imagine. Heheh.
